ESPN is saying tonight that he will not lose his leg and is expected to walk again. I doubt he will ever play again, but it sounds like his quality of life will not be diminished.

Before the accident, he was drafted by the NY Giants and signed a 4 year contract...so I'm assuming the contract remained in place.  There was a report earlier this year or maybe the end of last year that he was going through rehab and still wanted to play football.

thank you for the information.  I am really happy that he will be able to walk and jog again.  No guarantee that he will ever play in the NFL, but he should have a more normal life.
