Tennessee was down a LONG time!!!

We have heard forever about Tennessee's down years and all the coaching changes they've gone through since firing Fulmer in 2008, but they ended a drought this past saturday by beating Oklahoma in Norman. Their win over Oklahoma was the first time Tennessee has beaten an AP top 15 team on the road since 2006 when they beat #10 Georgia, in Athens, 51-33. That's 18 years!!!

They really look good and they've seemed to solve their biggest problem since Heupel arrived....their defense!!! That's D-Line is nasty and looks to be full of future draft picks. They're also very deep now. When Heupel gets Nico settled in and comfortable, they could be a team that goes deep into the playoffs. And just think, the Vols fanbase was really pissed when they first hired Josh Heupel from UCF. I think he has done an excellent job for the Vols considering how he took over a program fresh off of the Jeremy Pruitt debacle and he also has had to work through some NCAA sanctions from the Pruitt era.
