60 million people watched this debate. 60 million people got to watch Kamala define herself. And to most she defined herself as very presedential with plans to boost the middle class. This debate couldn't have gone any better for her. Went even Fox News Talking Heads are acknowledging the whooping you know it's a route

What are they? Legitimately asking

I just watched the debate and have been at work all day. I didn’t notice any lies during the debate but haven’t been searching today.

I did notice she failed to answer some of their questions.

Seriously? You noticed none?

Regarding Howell, there was another couple towns in other states where Harris visited earlier this year that when he visited recently it had to have been because of racism.

Examples?

Biden has a historically racist past and visits some of the same cities, but I guess you have to talk about crime or be Trump to be racists.

It might help that Biden has admitted to some of his past mistakes, and actually works to improve the lives of minorities. I think we all know Trump will never admit to making a mistake, and while you can make whatever arguments you like about whether his policies are good for minorities, he never says anything overtly supporting them, other than "I've done more for black people than anyone."

Regarding the lies it was on CNN yesterday after the debate.

Found it. I'll have to go through and parse what they said about each one, because it indicated one outright lie and then numerous statements that were misleading or lacked context. I agree that I thought she lied more than they say, but I'm curious as to the specifics.

In fairness, it looks like they said there were numerous statements from Trump that were also misleading or lacked context, in addition to the 33 lies he told.

Again, why do they make up stuff when he already gives them enough low hanging fruit?

Looks to me like they didn't, but I'll await the examples of other cities you mentioned.

Poor Trump - he's so obviously not a racist, yet he keeps saying things that anyone besides his supporters see as racist. If only the world would just agree with him!

This is when they go to the Trump is worse playbook and ignore things.

I mean I get it. People have to make decisions. Which liar do you like best? It's as real as it gets. That's where we are. Pathetic as that may be. God help us.

It's not who you like best, it's who do you think will hurt you less while in office.

But, yeah it is sad.

I’ve noticed it usually takes Fox 24-48 hrs to finalize a trump screw up narrative - specifically who to blame. Yep, it’s looking like abc is in the lead for why Trump went clueless ragefest last night.

Let's see.... she said she was for fracturing in 2020. When she is on video in 2020 saying she wants to ban fracturing.

She was talking about some Trump abortion ban; I must be unaware of some abortion law banning it that he passed. Last I check SCOTUS sent things back to the states.

Said Project 2025 was his platform. Lie....can go to the RNC site and the platform just like the DNC.

Citing the debunked Charlottesville claim......Lie.

"Donald Trump left us the worst unemployment since the Great Depression." Lie

Those are the ones that immediately stood out at the time.

There are plenty more. But the fact that you have to ask says you aren't serious for real discussion.

Thank you!

Well I’ll take that back I did say to my wife it’s a little disingenuous to slam Trump on things caused by the pandemic even when technically true.

They lied pretty much with what is consistent with their norms.

But it only matters if it supports the side you want, that is what I have learned.

This is the difference....

A Harris "lie"

Harris claims that Trump said he was going to create manufacturing jobs, but he actually lost manufacturing jobs.  That comment is misleading.  Before Covid, the U.S. had added 500,000 jobs during the Trump administration.  As a result of Covid, most of those jobs were lost.

A Trump lie

Trump claims that he saved Obamacare.

At no time did he attempt to save Obamacare.  In fact, he attempted to repeal it without a replacement several times.

Trump Claims that Harris' dad was a Marxist

That is false.  He was a Standford University Economics professor for 30 years. He taught classes on economic theory and covered Marx and every other relevant theory of economics.

Harris made several comments that need context, but at no time did I hear her lie about something that is easily proven to be inaccurate.   Trump, as he usually does, did that over and over and over again.

Just one of her lies. The ones that will stick with voters are ones such as her lying about her positions.

That will matter especially in a state like PA. It just reinforces what they know about her position.

She admitted that her position has changed on fracking.

She asked Trump if he would sign a nationwide abortion ban if it was placed on his desk.  He didn't want to answer that question.  I'm not sure how that could qualify as a lie. Trump has bragged repeatedly about placing justices on the bench to accomplish that very thing.  Now that he fears it will negatively impact him at the polls, he wants to pretend he never did.

The authors of Project 2025 have admitted that they consulted with Trump at Mara Lago and that he was on board with their proposals.  Of course, he now denies that.  Again, not sure how that can be a lie.  It is an accusation.

I will give you the unemployment claim.  The economic situation at the end of Trump's term was Covid related.  A better argument would be to point out how awful of a job he did with Covid instead of trying to color the economic picture for her benefit.

Fracking is like a landfill.  People are all for it until they begin doing it in their neighborhood.

Not exactly, lots don’t care about fracking. Hell, most won’t even know it’s going on.  Accept maybe the water trucks.

If they are getting royally checks they really won’t care.

I don't like it when politicians, or anyone for that matter, lie, but what you're effectively saying here is that Harris lies infrequently enough that people will remember it when she does.

Trump, meanwhile, is expected to lie, even by those who support him, so nothing really sticks out anymore.

Regardless, it wouldn't matter if she wanted to ban fracking, because she would never be able to get it through Congress, even if the Democrats get a majority in both the House and Senate. There are too many Democrats that would be against it. The only fracking she could ban on her own would be on Federal land, and that's only a small percentage.

Common sentiment with undecided seems to be Harris was more polished and got under Trumps skin.

But she still hasn’t shown what her policies will be and their opinion of her remains the same.
