Thorne is back to looking to run before even thinking of passing again 🤦‍♂️

Do we have a screen pass or draw?

Need a TE right in the middle. 87 could pull it down.

This is getting hard to watch.  Bringing back memories of last year.

So with the missed PI calls in the first half, the weird ball reset that leads to bad snap, and then a really bad targeting miss, these refs are definitely making it easier for Cal, not that they need any help of course.

He doesn't have an option right now.

I don’t know what to say. What do these guys do in practice , what do the coaches see in practice?

Probably because he doesn't have any time to do anything. Our OLine sucks.

Only thing I can think on the targeting is that they believe Hunter established himself as a ball carrier, because targeting has to involve a "defenseless player," defined as:

A player in the act of or just after throwing a pass, and that includes "an offensive player in a passing posture with a focus downfield"

A player attempting to catch a forward or backward pass, or a player who has completed the catch but hasn't had ample time to protect themselves or hasn't clearly become the ball carrier yet

A kicker in the act of kicking or just after kicking the ball

A player on the ground

A player who receives a blind-side block

A player with the ball who is already in the grasp of an opponent and whose forward progress has been stopped

A quarterback any time after a change of possession

A ball carrier purposely sliding feet first (like in the NFL, the ball is dead the instant a ball carrier slides feet first and touches the ground with anything other than their hands or feet)

Are you kidding. He’s had maybe 1.5 seconds before being touched by a defender.
This half will be won or lost by the OL.

Yea he does….hes back to last year not looking down the field. There’s a thing called stepping up in the pocket you know but his eyes are looking for a running lane
