Lane Kiffin is being sued because of his social media activity.

A lawsuit was filed against the Ole Miss coach Tuesday over one of Kiffin’s post, according to court documents obtained by the Clarion Ledger.

Dr. Keith Bell, the author of a book published in 1981 entitled “Winning Isn’t Normal,” seeks damages, per the report, from Kiffin over copyright infringement.

Kiffin posted on “X,” the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, a passage from Bell’s book in 2016. The author sent him cease-and-desist letters, and the post was deleted. In March of 2022, Kiffin posted a photo of a passage with the headline “WINNING ISN’T NORMAL,” which the lawsuit claims is identical to a passage from the book.

The lawsuit argues that the posts were commercial in nature. According to the report, Ole Miss is not yet commenting on the lawsuit, according to the Clarion Ledger.
