2025 four-star wing prospect Shon Abaev is preparing to ramp up his commitment process this fall and winter. The 6-foot-7, 196-pound forward will visit Auburn, Dayton, Syracuse, USC, Cincinnati, and Maryland as he looks to narrow down his already short list of prospective schools as signing day approaches.

A top 40 recruit in the 2025 class, Abaev is a three-level, left-handed scorer that has shown a keen ability to put the ball in the net both with Calvary Christian Academy and on the AAU circut for SOH Elite. The No. 7 prospect from the state of Florida heads into his senior season coming off a fantastic summer with SOH elite in which he averaged over 21 points and 6 rebounds per game.

While Abaev is likely to mull his options until at least the end of the winter, as his final visit is scheduled on October 8 in College Park, Maryland, he could make a decision shortly after that. He’ll make his way onto the Plains at the end of September. If Abaev enjoys his time at Auburn and he were to become a Tiger, he profiles as an ideal candidate to fill the role of Chad Baker-Mazara once he moves on.
