Yes she donated to and continues to solicit donations for Minnesota Freedom Fund. 

 

"Surveillance video captured the 4 a.m. murder.

According to the criminal complaint:

The video shows the victim falling into a sign and then onto the ground after Tillman fired his first shot. Tillman then approached the victim and fired twice more. The victim attempted to shield himself with his arm as Tillman fired at his head.

At this point, the victim “grabbed his head with both hands, curled up his body, and shifted his position,” the criminal complaint says. Tillman then fired two more times as the victim’s arms fell to his side."

I knew this was coming.  One day she is too harsh of a Prosecutor and the next day she is accused of setting murderers free.  Classic.

It is pretty obvious that she had no control over this group's future actions.  As someone that has done criminal defense work in the past, part of the reason our system is viewed as a 2 tier system is that people charged with a crime that have money go home on bail and those without sit in jail, sometimes for years awaiting trial or for their charges to be dismissed.

As for her being a harsh prosecutor,  that was selective wasn't it.

She was a prosecutor in San Fran. Politically - the ultimate paradox.
