This is how Republicans will go after Kamala

I’m sure they don’t want a hot war and neither do we, but they will let us know they have the capability from time to time.  Do you think we are presenting a strong front to the world with our president unable to continue his campaign, the Dem Party promoting the most radical of candidates and HAMAS protesters replacing the American Flags with Palestinian ones?

The second their posture becomes anything more than “being annoying little sh**s” then those planes are smoking craters on the ground. It’s a sabre rattling gesture, though, not a serious threat. Again we do this to each other all the time just to poke.

Sure it’s an exercise in patience sending F22s and F35s up every few weeks but they’re not going up there for no reason and aren’t going up there with international aid secured to the hardpoints lol.

The second China does something hostile all of their overseas assets are dust and we probably obliterate the Three Gorges Dam. As for Russia, I mean they’re losing a naval war to a country that doesn’t even have a navy at the moment.

If people messed with our boats we used to start putting warheads on foreheads.

Kinda like the time we destroyed half of Iran’s navy in 8 hours. Even the Russians rolled up to take pictures of that.

An Iranian mine actually damaged a US warship in that case though. Sabre rattling is one thing. Actually threatening our assets is a different beast.

I mean they don’t have much worth hitting that we couldn’t easily smoke. In either case it would probably take us a couple of days to eliminate their ability to project power altogether and probably about that same span to assert air dominance. China would lose a lot of critical infrastructure because they really can’t effectively defend it. Three Gorges Dam would be the obvious one for China. “Oh you’re serious? Well we’ve decided we don’t want you to have electricity any more.”

Agreed.

Our Unhealthcare system would be sent their way.

Enemy: "I sunk your battleship!"

America: Takes board, throws it against the wall. "Ha, you have no fleet!"

As for China being with them, that’s just them being goofy about NATO and all that.

It is no more of a lie than labeling Democrats as Communists or Marxist or even Socialists.  Words have meanings.

Of course; what did this administration do when a Chinese spy balloon flew over the entire country other than shoot it down after it accomplished its mission?

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/investigations/us-intelligence-officials-determined-chinese-spy-balloon-used-us-inter-rcna131150

“The Biden administration sought a highly secretive court order from the federal Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to collect intelligence about it while it was over the U.S., according to multiple current and former U.S. officials. How the court ruled has not been disclosed.”

That's why they didn't shoot it down earlier. They were watching it and seeing if they could intercept any communications and see what the hell it was doing.

Ah yes, the balloon is shot down on Feb 4th 2023 and this article comes out on Dec 28th 2023.  Definitely a CYA on the part of our administration.

If you catch a spy what do you do? Interrogate them or shoot them on the spot?

Correct.

Democrats (and "democrats") do have a long history of philosophical and political opposition to communism.

(Except for the period of WWII, where we joined them for self-serving reasons to fight fascism.)

True dat.

It would be easy to take out our electrical grid, all transportation and anything else with a chip in it.

We'd destroy our own cities, starting in about a week.

Mutually Assured Destruction has grown in it's complexity and possibilities.

Diplomacy in foreign relations is more important than it ever was.

It would work well if you can feed the spy what you want them to steal, but to let the spy take what they want without any oversight is a little ridiculous.  I would guess you believe China building a training base in Cuba would help us out so we can see what their military training is all about.

They’d not have so easy a time with our infrastructure as many would think. Just because something is fragile doesn’t mean it’s not protected.

This is the best ELI5 I’ve found on that. This guy is a former Microsoft dev. In fact he wrote the task manager.

Hell, I - and everyone else except maybe you and anyone directly affected - had already forgotten about it.

We are complacent.
