I believe it comes down to Arizona and Georgia.  I believe that Michigan and Pennsylvania will be blue on election day.  Likewise, I believe North Carolina will be red.

What should have happened......  Democrats, if they were really concerned first and foremost about beating Trump, should have nominated someone like Kentucky governor Andy Beshear to lead the ticket.  There are others, but he makes the point well.  He is a moderate that has consistently shown his ability to work with Republicans in Kentucky.  Beshear on the same ticket as someone like Mitch Landrieu beats Trump in a general election with ease.

Biden apparently believes that if he shows enough determination to stay in the race, his Democratic doubters will fade away as the convention gets closer.  That assumes the polls don’t continue to show him trailing Trump in the popular vote as well as the swing states.  Let’s see in the coming weeks how many Democratic lawmakers want to trust their political futures to Ole Joe.

He will to the goodest he can do and that is all they can ask.  🤣

I asked you several months ago why the Dems didn’t primary Joe and you were adamant that an incumbent should not be primaried.  What changed?

Chuck Todd:

NBC chief political analyst Chuck Todd said Tuesday on his podcast that he sees "no evidence [President Biden] can serve four more years."

He also said that a "senior cabinet member" told him TWO YEARS AGO
that they don't think Biden can continue as president.

"This is irresponsible, there is no evidence he can serve four years," Chuck Todd said."This White House had to, they had to drag it out of him that they've had this neurological test... They have no credibility left on this topic."

MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace on Biden Polls: I Know This Is Difficult, "But I'm Not Going To Shield Anyone From The News"

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2024/07/10/msnbcs_nicolle_wallace_on_biden_polls_i_know_this_is_difficult_but_im_not_going_to_shield_anyone_from_the_news.html

NICOLLE WALLACE, MSNBC: I know how difficult the story is for my audience, but I'm not going to shield anyone from the news. This is new polling from Wisconsin, from AARP.

2024 election, for voters over the age of 50, Joe Biden's at 43%, Donald Trump is at 52%.

The Senate race, Tammy Baldwin is running about 4 points ahead, but she's losing.

Michael Bennet and George Clooney are the first two Democrats I've seen to say out loud something Democrats have been saying, elected Democrats have been saying privately since the days after the debate, and that is that the bottom will fall out of the polls, and that it won't just be the White House that is lost and the political arrests and prosecutions that Trump has promised will come to pass. <fer>

If we even are still here, we'll cover those.

But that the notion that Democrats could somehow manage Trump from Congress is ludicrous, because they would lose both the, they would lose the Senate, and they would lose, I've heard the number, 20 seats in the House. What do you make of this wide gap between the public conversation and the private worry?

Clooney on Biden:

Quote

Clooney wrote in the New York Times that it was "devastating to say it", but the Joe Biden he met at a fundraising event three weeks ago was not the Biden of 2010. "He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020," added the actor.

"He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate," Clooney said.

When did she start?  She has been shielding people from the real news for decades.

This after he hosted a fund raiser in Hollywood just weeks ago.  They all knew for years.
