ORLANDO, Fla. – Auburn’s Anna Davis has been added to the United States 2024 Arnold Palmer Cup team, the tournament announced on Monday. Davis will join the US squad for the event which will be played July 5-7 at Lahinch Golf Club in Lahinch, Ireland.

Auburn and Arizona State have the most players represented in the field at three. The rising sophomore will join fellow Tigers Jackson Koivun and Brendan Valdes from the Auburn men’s squad on Team USA. While 2024 will mark Davis’ first Arnold Palmer Cup selection, it is not her first time representing the United States in international competition, as she has represented the Red, White and Blue in the World Amateur, the Junior Ryder Cup, the Pan American Games and the Junior Solheim Cup.

Davis becomes the fourth Auburn women’s golfer to receive an invitation to participate in the event, joining Julie McCarthy (International- 2019), Kaleigh Telfer (International- 2020) and Megan Schofill (USA- 2020, 2023). 

Davis, who arrived on the Plains in January, participated in all eight of the Tigers' tournaments this spring. She recorded a runner-up finish at the last regular season event at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic before capturing a top-5 finish at the SEC Championship and winning low medalist at the NCAA Auburn Regional by three shots at 5-under (211).

Davis, the 15^th ranked amateur player in the world, finished the year with a 71.68 scoring average and four top-10 individual finishes. She was awarded second team All-American and All-Freshman team honors by the WGCA as well as second team All-SEC and SEC All-Freshman team nods from the conference this season.

The Arnold Palmer Cup was co-founded by Arnold Palmer and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) and began at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge, Orlando, Florida, in 1997. The event is a Ryder Cup-style tournament featuring the top men’s and women’s university/college golfers matching the United States against a team of International players.

The Palmer Cup has been played at some of the world’s greatest courses, including The Old Course at St. Andrews, The Royal County Down, Royal Portrush, Baltusrol, The Honors Course, and Cherry Hills. Beginning with the 2018 matches at Evian Resort Golf Club, the Palmer Cup is the only major tournament that features men and women playing side-by-side as partners.
