It should be better than Woodbridge at more than twice the price. :-\

$12.00/bottle is a little steep for vin ordinaire in my opinion.  Maybe you're not as "ordinaire" as I am.

I don’t know a great deal about wine but do enjoy the reds, for health purpose only of course. Have some family that are wine snobs. Took a bottle of 19 Crimes to their place a few weeks ago. It is an Australian wine. You would have thought I sat rat poison on the counter.

Funny, I got the impression from your post that you were a wine snob. :-\

Not a snob but I know enough that I do not care for Woodbridge.

That's fine.  But it's disparaging others for not sharing your opinion that makes you a snob.

Suggest another that can be purchased for less than $6.00 / bottle, which is the qualifier I am using.

I didn’t know we had a budget.

If you’re drinking reds for health purposes, drink Malbec or Pinot. I prefer Malbec. Pinots are too light and simple for me in most cases until you start hitting those $50+ bottles.

69 ford van. white and ugly...........

Mine was a '67 Mustang coupe I bought from my aunt. Worked my rear end all summer for that. Had rusted out quarter panels and floor boards from the salt. I'd get splashed every time I went through a puddle. Loved it.

A little pricier (but not much), Petite Syrah by McManis isn't bad.

McManis makes decent value wines to be sure; but Petit Petit Syrah from Michael David Winery for a touch more money is solid. Their Freakshow line is pretty decent in the $20 range. It’s Lodi, so fruit forward/jammy, but crowd pleaser.

Shocks started the disparaging comment about Woodbridge. I just agreed. Big deal. You can afford any wine you choose.

Would you please explain to Brother Homer that disliking Woodbridge is no snobbery.

Back in the day, my sister used to drink TJ Swan apple wine. Then the Bartles and James wine coolers came into being

What a weaseling post. :-\

Disparaging someone else because they do is snobbery.

(And constantly sniping at me reveals a little insecurity.)

I apologize for posting like an insecure snob and will try to quit sniping.

Pretty good for around $12 a bottle. Woodbridge that Brother Homer suggested has me worried about him.

First, "insecure snob" is a non-sequitur.

You won't stop sniping. For some reason, I apparently live in your head. :-\

Well you do have the reputation of being Godfather of liberal/progressives around here. Sorta comes with the territory and I often agree with you on some things.
