I remember Tom well.  Didn’t make the team but became an Auburn legend anyway.   There was an article in the local paper entitled “Former Auburn Player Attacks Car”.  He got drunk at that old club called The Casino next to the radio station.  When he went to leave he saw an Alabama sticker on a guy’s car and commenced to pummel it unmercifully.   I think he got arrested for it if my memory serves me correctly.

In the 80's we had a wide out from Georgia, Trey Gainous, who also played baseball.  Bo nicknamed Trey "loadee" because Trey had an extra large load for a rear end.  Maybe 30-40 people know about this nickname, but if you could have heard Bo say "loadee" in 85 when he still had a pronounced stutter -- it would make you smile....
