The out of control deficit is causing inflation, and will continue to do so.  Higher interest rates just add to the deficit now.  We most likely will go down the path of Japan, buying our own debt, and inflating the currency ad infinitum.  Fiscal irresponsibility from our government seems to be the only option.

Secondary causes are more and more regulations.  Ranchers are being driven out of business.  New proposed regulations set to take effect will add 30K to the cost of a new house.  The list goes on and on.  Meanwhile wages are held down by mass importation of cheap workers.

I don't believe we've had 3 + years of "crazy".

(Considering how Trump handled the epidemic, just the opposite.)

Biden lost the confidence of right (and maybe left) of center moderates on the border. Maga is maga but even moderates demand border integrity. He treated it like a hobby. That was self inflicted and now that inflation (which is a much tougher problem) has settled in, Biden is exposed.

Biden’s maga gift was Trump - and not Haley or Desantis.  If the gop hadn’t been overrun by crazy, Biden would have been total road kill. It’s now instead a “least bad” election - which aids Biden.

imo long term both parties need to excommunicate their extremes (ie trump will be irrelevant), stop alienating moderates. and completely reboot.

Republicans are gone. No principles . Abandoned rule of law & reality. They see it can work for red states. In fact, it’s all that works in red states.

For the highly rural states I agree. But for states like Fla and Texas (which are massive), in a trumpless world, we’ll see.

Regulations impacting the cost of a home are largely local and state regulations, not the result of a federal agency.  Small farmers are indeed near extinction.  The reason why is not limited to one or two causes, but one of the major contributors is the value of land.  Land values are so high that many small farmers are simply cashing out.  Their children often want the security of a job with benefits and that is not reliant on unpredictable and hard to manage weather events every season.  In their place, massive farm conglomerates consolidate their operations and cut the cost of production.  It is unfortunate, but it is a trend that has been coming for decades.

yes, but  That last line I highlighted scares me.  If the Dems win, then I fear there will never be another (fair)election.  Therefore I believe when they get total control of the government, they will squeeze the life out of our citizens, and will make us totally dependent on the government.  Call it what you will (Marxism, Communism, Socialism, Totalitarianism, Tyranny,  whatever, doesn't matter).   This election is the last gasp the American People have to salvage our country from these power hungry, left wing idiots running it.   We have a President that cannot make decisions on his own, and we have a Vice President that can only spit out word vomit, or salad or whatever you call it, that has no relevance whatsoever to whatever question is asked of her on whatever Liberal TV show or news conference she happens to be appearing on.   Then the icing on the cake is when she laughs like a hyena for 5 full minutes to top off her ridiculously moronic statements without ever getting to the issue at hand.   And if all else fails, just Lie baby Lie!

I fear that the only way we are going to get them out is an overthrow of the government, or possibly another Civil War.

Let's do a whole bunch of praying until the election.

Believing that the 2020 election was rigged or stolen is believing in a lie.  Every legal challenge failed for lack of evidence and every audit, including those in Arizona and Georgia, proved that there was no election fraud that impacted the results of the count.  There is nothing Christ like about professing something to be fact, when objective evidence has proven time and time again that it is not.

What is it about Joe Biden that you see as evil?  Is ensuring that everyone, regardless of wealth, has access to health care a bad thing?  How would Christ treat immigrants that appear at the walls of the city hungry and poor?  Would Christ tell an army to shoot them on sight or would he provide them with food and shelter? Would Christ admire the man that says he has never asked for forgiveness because he has never needed forgiveness or the man that carries a rosary in his pocket everywhere he goes?

You speak of Tyranny, yet you support the man who attempted to subvert the will of the people in order to stay in power.  When the church stops being consistent, the church erodes its credibility.

Why don't you please quit acting like you know Jesus' every thought.

You made one very false statement about me wanting to go to war for Jesus.  I never said that.

Yes, I do go to war for Jesus when he is attacked, but that has nothing to do with a potential war concerning our country.

I said "I fear there will be a war"

Next, this forum is absolutely not fact based & people are allowed to give opinions whether you agree with them or not.

As far as the church eroding;  my grandfather & grandmother were part of the founding members of my church in 1931.  Which means it will be 100 years old in 7 years from now.  It has stood on the same Biblical Principles that my comments have come from in this forum.  THAT IS AN UNDISPUTABLE FACT SIR.

Take it for what it's worth, but please get down off your high horse.

I'm sure someone here has already pointed this out.

Don't quote old testament to Christians. That's Judaic scripture, go yell at the Jewish people with it. Christians don't follow the Pentateuch

You might as well use British colonial laws for trumps trial.... no American follows it anymore ;)

I honestly don't know what all that means.  I will tell you for a fact that every Christian Church in my County teaches out of the Old Testament.

Every lesson in our Sunday School books this month is taught out of Genesis.

I know the truth, so I really don't take to heart what people on this forum (point out).

No offense meant.  Hope you have a great day.

Any person on any country on earth would say the thing right now. Post covid (economies overheated from consumer demand) inflation is a global problem. Almost any item you purchase is made all or in part from imports. From toasters to iPhones to .. potato chips.

Its not a political problem or solution. But if youre in office you’ll be blamed regardless.

People understand. Biden is President so it comes with territory. Hope you have not become so accepting of the morally superior, without error leftist that you believe they would not be saying the same thing if Trump held the office.

Trump was even personally responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths during covid.

Not sure that some people realize that Levitical Law was the only part no longer relevant after Christ.

How many people has your church executed for picking up a stick out of their yard on Sunday?

None most likely, and why none... because you follow Jesus and not the old testament.

Which is why it's silly to point at Leviticus and give it as a reason, while simultaneously ignoring so many other laws of the book.

And no I don't take offense to it, and you're thinking is by no means just you or a minority opinion. I hear it a good bit, I'm just not big on quoting the Pentateuch when speaking on Christianity.

Executing someone who picks up sticks on Sunday was from Numbers actually Salty.

So if Leviticus is the only one no longer followed.... How many people have you executed for for doing yard work on Sunday?

Not exactly sure I understand the morally superior stuff - but no I would not blame any president for global inflation. Or hurricanes.  It’s a cyclic economic problem, not a political one.

Good insights. Being in Jerusalem during Sabatt (Saturday/sabbath) means nuanced things such as not using electricity. Hundreds of interesting, quirky rules (mitzvot). The transition from the old to New Testament isn’t…. subtle, but many see it simply as “part2” of the Bible.

Which is fine until people start haphazardly cherry picking scripture to suit their narrative.

Yea, seriously I hope Brother Homer accepts Jesus as his Savior before he dies.  I don't enjoy his posts, but contrary to popular belief, I don't hate anybody or wish harm to them, and sure don't want anyone on this Earth to go to Hell, but unfortunately that is going to happen.

As far as the Old Testament.   When we receive the Holy Spirit once we are saved, one of his purposes is to help us discern scripture.   To help us seperate what scripture is rituals, what scripture is commandments (there are many commandments in the Bible, not just 10), which ones are literal, and which ones are demonstrative, such as the parables Jesus told (they were not actual events, but they were a teaching method Jesus used).

In Matthew it says that Jesus came to fulfill the law, not to take the place of it.   I understand that this can be interpreted differently by different denominations, etc.

But you have to pray to the Holy Spirit that He helps you interpret this & then stick to it unless someone points something out you missed.  It's a learning process for all Christians until the day we die & leave this Earth.

I would have to be shown by someone where (all Levitical Law was abolished after Jesus came)

I can assure you that I am in no way talking down to you from a "high horse."  That is not my intent.  I simply stated a fact about the 2020 election.  When something has been established as fact, as adults, we should be capable of acknowledging that fact and moving the conversation along.  When we choose instead to adopt a false narrative, we separate ourselves from reality.  That break from reality makes finding middle ground impossible.

For example, we know for a fact that the world is round.  Knowing that, how could I ever trust someone in a leadership role that was a member of the Flat Earth Society?  We may agree on tax policy, but if that candidate went around the country arguing that the world is flat, I would question what else he is lying to me about?

I'll leave the rest without explanation because I do not believe further explanation is needed.

The rest of my post was a series of questions to encourage thought.

With sarcasm.....

How will we ever find enough pigeons and turtle doves for every woman to bring two to her priest every month when her period is finished?

Leviticus 15:28-29

That is how silly Leviticus is.

There are many more.....

Leviticus 19:27

Don't trim your sideburns or round your beard.

Leviticus  21:7

You cannot marry a divorced woman.

Cafeteria Christians love to pick and choose based on their argument of the day. Not so long ago, church Deacons couldn't be divorced men.  That isn't even a thought today.  We cannot pretend that the church does not evolve in thought.

A convenient argument tool for Liberals. Heard Wayne Flynt make that comments 5-6 years ago, but he is an imposter when it comes to Christ.

The homosexuals and their supporters have won the battle when it comes to society's acceptance of them and their lifestyles, but have lost the war and for all eternity.
