Upgrade to paid on Monday, during a court recess, Donny took to his crappy app and reposted one of those obsequious fawning videos that his cultist worshipers like to crank out. this particular video was all about the wonderful things Donny was going to do once he was rightfully restored to power as God-Emperor of America for Life. except a closer look at the video revealed that there was some insidious ****ery afoot — specifically, ****ery of the Jew-hating kind. The video features made-up newspaper headlines claiming a Trump win of the 2024 presidential election. It asks, “What’s Next for America,” and promotes “the creation of a unified Reich.” what, what? a unified … Reich? you mean like that thousand-year thing Hitler was always bragging about building? in fact, the video was rife with antisemitic dogwhistling. “Another headline in the video suggests that Mr. Trump in a second term would reject “globalists,” using a term that has been widely adopted on the far right and that scholars say can be used as a signal of antisemitism.” Trump disavowed the whole thing and blamed it on some unnamed staffer who supposedly posted the video on their own — but holy s***, “it wasn’t me, it was the Nazis I hired to work for me” is not the exonerating excuse that Donny imagines it to be. and the whole “unnamed staffer” thing is a bull**** lie. only Trump and his toady Dan Scavino have access to Trump’s Truth Social account. this isn’t the first time that obvious Nazi rhetoric has ended up in Trump campaign material. back in 2016, Donny tweeted out an image that featured Hillary, money and a Jewish star — to which the entire world, quite naturally, responded with what the **** are you doing? you’re mistaken, the Trumpers assured us, that’s not a Star of David — it’s a sheriff’s star. oh please, we weren’t born yesterday. don’t piss on our heads and tell us it’s raining. Donny keeps telling us he’s not a Nazi, but actual Nazis sure seem to think he’s one. isn’t it weird how every time you see a swastika in public, it’s always in close proximity to a Trump banner? so, why would Nazis think that Donny is one of their own? could it be because he literally called them “very fine people”? could it be because Donny reportedly kept a book of Hitler’s speeches at his bedside? could it be because Donny never stops yammering about how Hitler “did some good things”? could it be because Donald Trump believes the exact same things that Nazis believe? hmm. calling immigrants “vermin” who are “poisoning the blood” of a nation. rounding up millions of people and putting them in massive camps. it all sounds so familiar — where have we heard this before? oh, right: we fought an entire war against the ****faces who believed this s*** back in the 1940s. but at least the media is on top of this story and are holding Donny to account, right? please tell me they aren’t finding a way to soft-pedal it — The word “Reich” is often largely associated with Nazi Germany’s Third Reich, though the references in the video Trump shared appear to be a reference to the formation of the modern pan-German nation, unifying smaller states into a single Reich, or empire, in 1871. what the what? the formation of the modern pan-German nation in 1871? who the **** invented this fever dream? why are you doing this, Associated Press? what has Donald Trump done to deserve the benefit of the doubt? how much more obvious does Trump’s embrace of Naziism have to be before the worthless scribblers of the press will at long last stop pretending it’s not happening? yesterday, after court adjourned, Donny phoned into a Pittsburgh TV station and did that thing where a politician accidentally tells the truth. he was asked “do you support any restrictions on a person’s right to contraception?” — and check out the word salad that tumbled out of Trump’s big dumb pumpkin face. “we’re looking at that, and I’m going to have a policy on that very shortly, and I think it’s something that you’ll find interesting, and it’s another issue that’s very interesting, but you will find it, I think, very smart. I think it’s a smart decision. we’ll be releasing it very soon.” this is a classic Trumpian non-answer answer. it’s buffoonish bluffery — it’s bluffoonery. ‘we’re looking at that’ is Trump-speak for ‘you caught me totally off guard on a subject I know absolutely nothing about.’ the rest of Trump’s blather is his standard stream of concsiousness filibustering. it’s smart, it’s going to be great, you’re going to love it, believe me. but the host wouldn’t take bluffoonery for an answer, and tried to pin Trump down. host: “that suggests that you may want to support some restrictions — like the morning after pill?” Trump: “we are also— you know, things really do uh, have a lot to do with the states. and some states are going to have different policies than others.” here comes this “state’s rights” bull**** again. this is the same garbage they’ve been pushing down our throats since the Dobbs decision. reproductive rights should be left up to the states, they tell us as they plot and plan for a national ban on all abortions. and now they’re doing with same thing with contraception. realizing he’d made a big dumb election-year mistake, Donny immediately tried to walk it back. But as the interview and the backlash to it rocketed around on Tuesday, Mr. Trump posted in all caps on social media that he would “never advocate imposing restrictions on birth control.” He called the reports based on his interview “a Democrat fabricated lie.” don’t believe one ******* word of it. a ban on contraception is baked right into the Handmaid’s Tale dystopia that the christofascists have in store for us, should Donny ever retake power. along with the abolition of no-fault divorce, it’s just another fun part of the Project 2025 plan to turn America into a women-oppressing Christian dictatorship. hey — that weird pop-eyed photo of Donny at the top of this post? it was taken on Monday, at Donny’s trial. no, it’s not photoshopped. tell me that this isn’t the the look of a man who’s just realized that he’s s*** himself in a courtroom. everyone is entitled to my own opinion is a reader-supported publication.
