I hope Sentaor Tubbs is OK. Those falls are harder to heal from as you get older.

Maybe he caught himself enough on the rails that he mainly just slid down. If not, I'm sure his back will has some nasty bruises on them.

Both my wife and I have had similar falls.  You are right about the "sliding" part and the bruises.
