Since the end of the pandemic, exports are up,,, biggly (the graph is virtually a vertical climb). This year, we are on pace to shatter previous years total exports. Our lowest monthly export total this year is more than any month in the prior administration (month to month). https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=pet&s=mcrexus1&f=m Facts, not propaganda. Look at the growth rates. When Trump took office we exported 22 thousand barrels of crude in January. 29 months later we exported 91 thousand barrels. That is a growth rate of 300%. When Biden took office we exported 98 thousand barrels. 29 months later 117. That growth rate is 20%. Similar story with US Production Trump 8,875 barrels per day in Jan 29 months later 12,154. Growth 37%. Biden 11,137 to 12,662 Growth 14%.
TexasTiger 14,364
Assuming those numbers are correct, it stands to reason a 37% growth rate isn’t sustainable regardless who is President.

Facts, this man literally LOVES fossil fuels. Don't you know he owns a 67 'vette -- that thing has a gas engine -- a GAS engine. I once saw him drink an entire quart of shell 10w40. We could care less that he promised us no more drilling and a war on fossil fuels. It's not his fault a**hole. He is less than perfect cultist.... He just misspoke... I hope you publicans all die... The violent truth is that we’re still at least 15-25 years from having large scale viable alternative sources. And for all the wonders of electric , where does most the electricity actually come from? There aren’t pixies making it. 60% fossil fuel generation (20% nuclear. 20% alternative). Tesla basically just moves .the location of the pollution source. The biggest way to lower carbon emissions is to continue to support and subsidize alternative energy technology (solar, fusion, ect ) and for the west to lead with emission regulations. However, that will not make up for China pumping out coal power plants like pancakes and 3rd world population growth. The UN has to prioritize those being 2 major existential issues. All that being said, cancelling keystone and similar decisions were stylish progressive policy - but it didn’t lower pollution and materially weakened the us in several ways. Plus it ended up helping Russia remain economically viable and therefore prolonged the Ukrainian war. It was childish problem solving - I want to feel better now and this shiny toy will do that. There are real solutions to carbon emissions, but imo it’s LP’s fact-based thinking versus just being happy land whimsical that will be the basis for getting us there. While you're essentially correct, comparing two countries efforts to curb global warming should really be done on a per capita basis. We are no less culpable than China regarding emissions in that regard. Most Americans who like to cite the absolute numbers would rather ignore that.
