Education isn’t really a party issue. It’s a voter/cost issue - would people agree to pay higher property and other taxes to improve teacher pay and facilities? I also think all states should instigate a lottery, it’s an iffy tax but the results speak for themselves.  Now if you want to blame the democrats for  crime and the homeless. Go for it. But with a better education system maybe it’d resolve some of messes before they started.

It’s absolutely a party issue in some circumstances.    When you have a party that has been running a city for years and have never made a change or even attempted to make a change, it’s a party problem.  Baltimore has had ample time to reinvent how its schools operate.
The system you speak of go hand in hand.   Clean up the streets and businesses and people will come back into the city.

U.S. Rank's 125th in Literacy. And 54% of Americans between age 16-74 read below 6th grade level.

As a life-long academic, I don't give a shiiiiite about your politics. This is unacceptable. And it drops on BOTH parties as culprits in allowing the American educational system to fail completely. This is not about anti-woke or trans-rights. This is about actual education. Do kids learn math, reading, history? Not ideological bullshiiiiiiit. Actual factual reality.
