Every time something comes up about Hunter another barrage of Trump comes up.  What interesting times.

It is interesting how the pacing is mirrored so exactly isn't it?

Where is the evidence that Trump orchestrated and told people to break into the capitol ?    Most of the protesters that participated in this have been arrested and charged.   I’m trying to figure out what law Trump broke in all of this Jan 6 stuff.

That's not what he's being indicted for.

Read the indictment.

Sounds like Jack Smith forgot to put a little bit of honesty in his indictment.   You all know the part.   Say it with me, “peacefully and patriotically march down to the capital “ to protest the election results.   I am going off of an Allen Derkowitz YouTube video explaining that he could possibly face a criminal charge for lying on an affidavit.

Again, that's not he's been indicted for.

No, he has been indicted on the conspiracy to deprive someone of their constitutional rights as best I can tell, without reading it.   I find it funny how he purposely left language out of a speech that everyone claims riled up the masses.

Well I’m not sure what he left out of his speech, and I’m sure he didn’t mean to cause any trouble, but somehow he sure left his maga guys with a screwed up to-do list.

You’re not serious are you?  That is like blaming Bernie for the Republican baseball shooting and the shooting of 5 cops in Dallas on Obama.  No way you or even the Biden DOJ could prove that.

This equating any political speech to a conspiracy and call for violence.   Might want to get that indictment out for a bunch of people for the summer of love.

I can’t stand Bernie either but those  comparisons  need a lot more work.

I get it. Trump was just misunderstood and those darn crazy kids got a little out of hand. Right?

Those comparisons are right on.  If you believe Trump intended for the protest to get out of hand you have bought into the narrative the left has been pushing since Jan 7th of 2021.  If that is the truth why isn’t there a charge of insurrection by Jack Smith?

Are you seriously arguing the substance of the indictment without reading it?

Figures.

I feel like if this was followed through you're asking for civil unrest. Regardless of how any of us personally see it, with the current climate and reputation of the DOJ with MANY Americans, this would be conformation to many that we've lost our democracy. Politics and the 'winning of board arguments' aside for a moment, this would be wildly destablizing.

The opposite would be to do nothing and affirm to Trump and people like him that they have free reign over the law, because the threat of civil unrest takes precedence over protecting the sanctity of the elections. I for 1 do not want to live in a country where presidents and their cabinets have so much power that they can do stuff like this with no consequences.

Doesn’t it sound more ideal to start holding people accountable? Isn’t that the ultimate goal? Trump made his bed and I can assure you that every single one of these indictments will be followed by overwhelming proof of crime being committed. Whether people see the proof and choose to accept it is an entirely different problem.

I’ve seen enough people speak about it.   And further more, I don’t really care.   I wish he would go away and back to television.    But from what I’ve seen people say, it seems to be a pretty big leap for a charge.
Would you consider a sitting senator say that she would help pay for legal defense expenses for rioting arrest in the summer of love, a conspiracy with others to condone the unlawful actions of a protest?

I think you know why.   Insurrection was a complete joke.   That group of misfits couldn’t overthrow a 7 eleven.

I wouldn't. Everyone has a constitutional right to a competent defense in the United States legal system. If the police and prosecutors acted appropriately and have a strong case against any of the rioters then the best defense attorney in the world wont stop them from receiving punishment.

You’re right, they are idiots.  No argument. And trump summoned them there for weeks.  Ps He said  in an interview years earlier that he knew that he had followers that would shoot someone in Times Square if he asked them to.

Tryin to defend trump by saying his followers in reality are so idiotic that theyre completely harmless is an interesting approach. Might even be right. Except for the people dying that day part.

Journalist Glenn Greenwald commented on Twitter that the claim of “‘almost 10 dead’ from the 1/6 riot is deceitful in the extreme. Four people died on 1/6: all Trump supporters.”

You sound like AOC.

And there was no insurrection or Jack Smith would have charged Trump with that.  Insurrection is a automatic *can’t run for public office* card.

Ah, the AOC card. Option 1:  I’m a friggin socialist Sandinista who hates individualism, American  values, and wants  the government  to run literally everything. Option 2: I’m a conservative who recognizes a pure substance-less  manipulator who cares nothing  for you or this country. And feels he has no honor and values only power and staying out of jail.

You pick.

This issue was the people who died that day.  AOC exaggerated and the only deaths were Trump supporters.  Trump didn’t incite anything that day, it did get out of hand and made those people look foolish, but there was no insurrection.

I won’t debate what an insurrection is, or traitorous behavior. But I hold him fully accountable for what happened.

Oh course you won’t.   Because it wasn’t.   It’s a political talking point meant to sow division against republicans.    Because if you are saying that ole horn hat wearing dude was going to overthrow the US government, you are as delusional as he is.

And one more thing….it’s quotes like this that people like you can’t separate from when a person is just saying bullsh&t just to get a reaction out of someone.
And I believe the quote was, he could walk down Times Square and shoot someone and no one would care.

I’ve watched parents try to defend their kids after they did something heinous, so I sort of get it. It’s just that trump isn’t your kid

I’m not the one obsessed with the guy.   I call out bullsh$t when I read.    You and 50 cent keep up the Trump obsession.    I believe I found the person that put the tattoo of Trump on his arse.
