Just because Joe may or may not have discussed business on the phone with Hunter's business associates is a red herring. He knew the context of what Hunter was calling about. That's the main point.

I doubt Joe discussed business during those calls, that wasn’t the purpose of contacting Joe.  Mob Bosses seldom talk business with the hit man over the phone, it’s gives the boss plausible deniability.  The purpose was to indicate to the people Hunter was dealing with that Hunter had access to *the big guy* on demand.  You know influence peddling.

 

Trump has nothing to do with Joe and Hunter’s influence peddling.  It is a separate issue.  Trump just got indicted for Jan. 6th.  If he is guilty, prove it.  Comer will have the opportunity to prove Joe is a corrupt elected official worthy of jail.  Let the investigation continue.
