Inflation would have been the same? That's nonsense. A major part of the current inflation is gas prices due to Biden's disastrous fossil energy policy. Follow that up with vast new give-aways and we have Biden responsible for the worst inflation in over 40 years. You people don't really believe this stuff you write, do you? It's preposterous. Domestic oil production is expected to set records this year. The truth is that higher prices at the pump make refining oil from shale and other sources profitable, where doing so was not as profitable when the price per gallon was lower. It costs much less to refine sweet crude oil from areas like Saudi Arabia and Venezuela than it does to refine most crude oil produced domestically. As for inflation, the problem is not limited to the U.S. Post Covid, housing prices sky rocketed to levels that will set us up for another mortgage crisis in the future. Rental rates have also increased to unsustainable levels in many areas. Everyone in this country wants to get as much as they can as quickly as they can. There is a price to be paid at some point for that as well. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/biden-administration-approves-controversial-alaska-oil-drilling-projec-rcna74679

They did everything they could to hinder this project, but due to Bungling Biden's squandering of the national petroleum reserve to help Dems in the mid-term elections, they had to do something to aid production. Do I really need to provide links concerning Biden's disaster at the border, the fact that real wages have declined every single month of Biden's administration or the effect of the last round of giveaways on the national debt and inflation? If you're well enough informed to post here, you should have common knowledge about these things.
