Freeze offers no comment on potential suspensions

Nothing substantial has happened yet, but you best believe every commentator scheduled to cover Auburn will have their script ready to mention "offseason troubles clouding over the program" at least once every quarter. 😂

From the bits I grab here and there...

few people banged out some rats. Everyone knew it was recorded and cool with it.

Someone else, (rumors only as to who) got ahold of videos and posted them around different social media sites.

Apparently, self-made porn is illegal in Alabama, or maybe just against student CoC.

Nothing substantial has happened thus far.

If that's true then they are victims of the recording

That's what I thought.

I have no idea what the code of conduct at AU... or any university is these days. But I think if they kicked out 18-25 year olds for recording sex on their phone, a lot of these schools would have to make an entirely new department to handle all the cases.

I would think it would be some part of some training as far as PR stuff. I know guys that are viewed as potential pro players get that training.

The school's pretty much set up a, I'm trying to see how to word it, but like situations where sex his highly likely to be a possibility. Idk but I've been so busy at work I haven't been able to keep up with stuff. So I haven't asked any players or coaches anything and I'm just going off what I'm being told or read on here.

Whatever the situation may be I hope people judgmental or not are just consistent in whatever their beliefs may be.

The student code of conduct at Auburn isn't worth the paper it's written on!  It's enforced or ignored on a case-by-case basis, depending on political implications.  I know this for a fact because my daughter was a victim in an on-campus incident that occurred about 6 years ago that involved a former cheer leader.  We presented a plethora of evidence in a student conduct hearing (including a number of direct violations, a written statement from the Director of Campus Security confirming the violations, and voice and recording of the perp admitting guilt), initially received a favorable verdict, only to have it overturned on appeal.  I then spoke with some local attorneys in Opelika and they told me that the office of Student Affairs was a complete joke and their hearings were nothing more than a Kangaroo Court.  In my opinion they didn't have the stomach for the details so they just decided to go through the motions.

Oh, I think it's dumb for sure. I mean how often are you even gonna watch it? Just go do it again if you wanna re-experience it lmao

At the same time, I don't know exactly how you are gonna punish consenting adults for recording their own actions on a personally owned device.

This is kinda piggybacking off what Cole said I think. Universities, not just Auburn are known to be pretty... finicky about rules and who they do or don't punish. Usually that works out well for athletes, but sometimes you get the 'lets make an example' type thing going and the person gets a worse than normal punishment.

My hope would be like Coles, I hope they are consistent in whatever rules/punishments they decide to go with.

The University handed down the indefinite suspension(s), not athletics and not student affairs.  So, the University took this case very seriously even though others may feel it's a trivial matter between consenting adults, etc.

IMHO, it'll all be water under the bridge, everyone will be reinstated and ready for action this fall.

Sorry to hear about that traumatic situation for your daughter and yourself as a parent. Major reason why I try not to ever make light of situations like these.
