That's alot of traveling back and forth to only be interested 20%

Not really. No effort for us for him to travel here & there are many prospects in futures classes at Buford we like so worth the weekly trip even if we miss on KJ.

Speaking of NIL money. How does it work? Is it a yr to yr type deal for a player? Do the players sign something?

From my very limited understanding, most schools pay out over 4 years. While some places reevaluate, renegotiate, and readjust accordingly.

Yes, there is a contract

I'm not very plugged in to the NIL side.

@RunInRed would probably have a much better understanding

Depends if players have their own NILs separate of the school like Arch Manning or with the school like most prospects.

Which is a 50% jump from when he committed to FSU. That is a huge change in direction.

I hope you read fluent bird.

Gotta be a mess. Take Walter Nolen. Just entered the portal. I'm sure he had a big NIL deal to sign w A@M. Then he hits the portal. I guess it's take the money and run

Apparently that's how it's working with some. Sad but true.

I have always believed that KJ would be a Tiger.

But you also said we don't have infinite money, and if we were to get him we will have to drop a bag. That is why I don't believe we are budget hunting. For the right people, we will pay what we have to.

Recruits that take 1000's to visit multiple places, 10,000's to commit to one, and then 100,000,000's to sign somewhere else.

We don't have infinite money.   No one other than the government does...

Is that really what you got out of that comment? And no the government doesn't either, but that is neither here nor there.

The Beaman and Bolden recruitments are very similar

It just sucks because most of the Birmingham city schools have heavy Bama influence and the drive is rather quick. Maybe it’s changed now but that’s how it was when I was there.
