Ron DeSantis will announce he is running for president of the United States during a discussion with Twitter CEO Elon Musk, multiple sources familiar with the plans told NBC News.

Musk and the Florida governor will host an event on Twitter Spaces on Wednesday at 5 p.m. (6 p.m. ET).

It will be moderated by David Sacks, a tech entrepreneur who is a Musk confidant and DeSantis supporter.

According to the report, his campaign also will release a launch video, and DeSantis will hit the campaign trail.

The DeSantis team has been in talks with Musk for weeks, according to NBC source. In those conversations, the source said, Musk has indicated he doesn’t think former President Donald Trump can win back the White House.

“He’s interested in the future, and he’s interested in winning again,” the person said.

Man, it sure does get harder and harder to believe Musk’s claim that he is a liberal leaning independent when every single policy and political candidate he advocates for just so happens to be Republican.

Does that mean he will have to step down as Florida's governor? Oh wait he changed the rules so the Florida taxpayers will pay for him to spend his time campaigning for his presidency rather than focus on their state.

No. The issue has been clarified.

https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/3979092-florida-bill-allowing-desantis-to-stay-governor-and-run-for-president-heads-to-his-desk/

“Supporters of the bill have said it is not designed for DeSantis and is only a clarification”

“It is an individual office that is unique. It is the chief executive of our country,” state Rep. Ralph Massullo (R) said during debate on Friday. “This isn’t just for our governor. It’s for anyone in politics.”

I mean they are right that it isn't a bill exclusively and only for DeSantis, but the law was 100% passed now Because DeSantis wants to run for President and had to change State law to do so. It was changed BECAUSE of DeSantis.

Hope Florida likes to run itself cause their Governor is about to spend a majority of the next year away from the Governors desk and with his attention focused  only on his own career. For example During the recent flooding in Florida DeSantis spent that time campaigning and selling his book in Ohio.

If I were a Floridian, I'd consider that a positive.
