Who's the better fit Casey Thompson or the guy from Mich St?

The one that says he’s going to be the Auburn quarterback.

I would be surprised if Robbie is here in 2 years if he is not starting, much less one.

That's fine with me

Not only Thorne but the top MSU wide receiver K. Coleman is in the portal 6’4” 215. Let’s get them both!

State fans didn't love Thorne much last year vs the year prior. Idk what the truth is... just posting info...

Agreed.
But IMO if Casey Thompson wants to commit to an Auburn, then we should take that commitment.

Thought about this. We're in a bit of a situation with CT on campus right now.

What happens if he wants to commit today?  Lotta risk there

Just like before the portal where every team paid players before NIL, every team tampers. Not saying we did specifically here but every school does it.

May be hard to get both. MSU people are saying Coleman doesn't want to play with Thorne. We'll see.

Hypothetically even if we feel good about our chances with Thorne & don't like how Thompson's injuries have progressed?

e redshirted in 2018 and improved each season before breaking out in 2022. The 6-foot-2, 236-pounder made 105 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and one sack in 14 games last season. His efforts were good enough to be named first-team All-Conference USA.

Nixon III finished his career at North Texas with 246 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles.

The Tigers added two transfers in the first window in Austin Keys (Ole Miss) and DeMario Tolan (LSU) but are working to add to a room that saw reserve linebackers Desmond Tisdol, Powell Gordon, and Kameron Brown enter the transfer portal during the spring window.

Thorne seems a little better. He also doesn't have countless injuries. And he has two years of eligibility left

How many years does Casey Thompson have left? I know he was at Texas but not sure how long and then he was at Nebraska for just the 2022 season.

According to On3, we are the first school Casey Thompson chose to visit. Whether that means anything, I have no idea. I just feel good knowing that we have action happening now.

Just reading up on Casey Thompson and he threw 5 touchdowns for Texas in The Red River Shootout in 2021 vs Oklahoma. He threw 24 touchdowns in 2021. His main competition was Hudson Card but Sarkisian really seemed to like Casey from articles I'm seeing. Quinn Ewers came in so Casey transferred to Nebraska and he had a pretty good year. They've got a QB named Jeff Sims who had a really good A-Day game so Casey entered the portal. The Sims guy fits Matt Rhule's system better than Casey according to their beat writers. Besides Auburn, Casey is expected to visit Florida and a few other big schools but it didn't name those schools.

He is injured ALOT but his upside seems better than 1 or maybe 2 of our current QB's.
