They ran the flexbone triple option offense, and they had a hard time winning because of recruiting. You get a lot of interest from running backs because of how they are utilized. But wide receivers don’t want to play in that offense because of how run heavy it is. Quarterbacks don’t want to play in that offense because it doesn’t prepare them for the NFL. The offense could work at this level if Chadwell were still able to recruit at a high level. But I’m not convinced he’d be able to.
