Great effort, great result, NOT a pancake...

Closer to a block in the back than a pancake.

*DOUBLE CHECKS NOTES*

Pankcake block is a block that results in the defensive player laying on his back.

*CHECKS PLAY*

Defender clearly falls on his belly.

I confirm this BigBird post.

I confirm this BigBird post.

Then clearly it is a Waffle Block -- those things fall straight to your belly in part because each little square in the Waffle holds up to 6 times the amount of melted (or preferably whipped) butter and syrup as a flat pancake.

I don't know, the defender folded like a crepe

That's the typical outcome when the defense runs a blintz package.

until Ashford can throw a block like an NFL player he isn’t my starting QB.

I am more impressed with the desire and heads up play than the actual play. That is an acute sense of awareness few QB’s possess outside of back to pass!

I think he just wanted to hit someone.  Don't like how he jaws over him right after, though.

Great post. Most QBs hand it off and roll out and go into decoy mode. Robby turned his eyes up field and got after the defense. That’s probably won’t work out versus SEC teams, but like you said the effort was there. That’s all it takes
