I kinda understand from a players perspective.  I still wish it was viewed as a challenge and with some importance because as a fan I hate to see bowl losses.

Behind my 10-2 mindset:

Mercer - W
SJSU - W
Penn State - Confidence win early that later just looks like a game we always should have won.
Mizzou - W (They may annoy us)
LSU - HUGE GAME - Need big home environment
GA - Win is possible, but I'll go L, and fans start to worry about a drop off happening again.
Ole Miss - W - Fans back on board
Arkansas - W - Glad it's at home.
MSST - W
TAMU - W - Payback
WKU - W
Updykes - L - because away game

D-Line is going to be top 10 in the country
RB room is top 5 in the country
WR talent is definitely there
QB ? and yes, I know that's not a small ?
Coaching is definitely there
LBs - Owen has to stay healthy
OL - Has to be some progress...I mean, these guys have a combined 100+ starts together yes?
TE - Top 15
Secondary - Got some "dudes" back there.
Aubie - Left off some recent article as top 15 mascots in the country.
 

Plus, it's a cycle with us.  We have 2-3 great teams every decade.  I think Harsin can be the coach to make that 4-6 every decade.  It's time.

I think we need to calm down on Koy Moore. Optimism is one thing, but you don’t want to put unfair expectations on a player.

Who knows? I was just discussing a hypothetical, but as bad as it may seem, the teams on the schedule aren’t head and shoulders better aside from Bama and UGA. A&M for all their talent should’ve crushed Auburn last year and in 2020, and really didn’t until 4th quarter collapses came into play. Everyone else is about in Auburn’s talent range.

The first handful of guys in the DL are going to be great, we just need to have absolutely ideal injury luck. This is easily going to be the least amount of depth Auburn has had on a potentially great DL in the last decade

I think 6-6 is the floor for this year.   
 

6 games we SHOULD win (4 ooc games, Vandy, and MSU)

3 games we shouldn’t win (bama, uga, and LSU)

3 “toss ups” - Arky, OM, and TamU.   These 3 games likely determine our record.  So, our reasonable range is 6-6 to 9-3.   I am going to lean to the optimistic side and say 8-4
