IMO this post would ring more true if was stated by a biological woman instead of someone that looks like a man.

Don't have to be black to advocate for Black rights. Don't have to be gay to advocate for Gay Rights.

Don't have to be a woman to advocate for women's rights.

Agree. If they fill that strongly about "socialism" they can give up their Medicare and Social Security check.

But those are those social programs?  People have paid the labor tax.  The tax was specifically created for those important programs.  Unfortunately, the funds have never been forced into the specific programs.  No "lock box".

I think it could be argued that these are the exact opposite of social programs.

Not so sure about this.  The states with the most restrictive abortion laws also tend to be the states with the worst rates of infant mortality, maternal mortality, highest rates of poverty, lowest rated educational systems, highest rates of incarceration.  I still contend that social support for those in need would be much less costly than the costs of policing, incarcerating and ultimately, would even decrease the numbers of those who need social assistance, not to mention the benefits of a more peaceful, safe, happy, prosperous society.

I'm not sure a social conscience exists for those making the pro-life argument.  A very big factor as to why I cannot support.

One more point to consider.  These states are also the states with the lowest wages levels and worker protections.

These states have a proven track record of focusing on the interests of capital at the expense of society, humanity.

Our blind, unqualified devotion to capitalism will be the path to fascism.  IMHO, the Christian Nationalist are nothing more than useful idiots.  Think about how they have been played throughout history.

All social programs are paid for by tax payers. There is nothing free. Now it may be no cost to the recipient but it cost the tax paying citizens of the nation something.

In the Social Security/Medicare scenario a percentage is also paid for by the employer. So it's part socialism and part welfare all wrapped up together. Again, no retired citizen receiving social security or medicare can claim they are not participating in socialism or welfare.

Disagree.  These programs have their own specific tax and, payments to individuals are made based on what is paid in.

Also, as many point out here.  Corporations do not pay taxes.  They simply add them to their costs.

Our future may be "Christian" fascism.  They are not content with following Jesus.  They want to lead.

I pray this "civil war" will not get any more uncivil.

I really don't think this is going to be in the church's best interest long term.

It's certainly not in our country's interest.

these cats are going to force their beliefs on the rest of america.  we already have preachers preaching libs are godless and evil. thar dude in tennessee did not stutter when he told all dems to get out of his church. when the levee breaks it is going to be bad. i mean come on we allow lies from tucker and hannity and others that help push this madness.i imagine the left has a few liars as well but here is the problem. people want to defend freedom of speech even when it is a lie which just fuels more and more hate. we allow corps to buy their own politicians so they can push their own agenda's instead of what is good for america. then instead of holding those accountable we turn on our neighbors and our friends.this is a sad thing and we need a miracle.

“LGBT advocacy groups are concerned that the supreme court’s willingness, in the next session, to hear the case of a Colorado website designer who wishes to refuse services to same-sex couples is a critical step to overturning a broad range of anti-discrimination laws that protect LGBT Americans along with women, members of religious minority groups and others.”

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), who faces a primary election Tuesday, says she is “tired” of the U.S. separation of church and state, a long-standing concept stemming from a “stinking letter” penned by one of the Founding Fathers.

Speaking at a religious service Sunday in Colorado, she told worshipers: “The church is supposed to direct the government. The government is not supposed to direct the church. That is not how our Founding Fathers intended it.”

She added: “I’m tired of this separation of church and state junk that’s not in the Constitution. It was in a stinking letter, and it means nothing like what they say it does.” Her comments were first reported by the Denver Post.

Don't see any black white supremacists.

There might be a few "brown" ones out there trying to sneak in.

Sadly, probably all of those people do not realize that the real intent is fascist.  The real intent is to destroy both.

This country has far too many useful idiots, far too many who will follow a symbol, a slogan, an image without any real thought.

We talk about all of the communist we have opposed.  We never discuss the brutal fascists we have supported.
