how many of you like and respect ted cruz? i ask because it seems the repubs are getting tired of him. carlson basically called him a liar on his show recently and many others to enclude trumpers appear to be fed up with him and claim he will not be in office in his next election. i personally cannot stand him. i think he is a joke but maybe i missed some good things he has done besides letting trump diss his wife with the whole world watching and when he ran off to mexico when texans were freezing their behinds off. so someone tell me something great he has done that deserves respect.

And don't forget, Ted Cruz was runner-up to Trump in the Republican Primary.  He thinks he's the heir apparent.

Obviously, he's a great fit for the Republican party!

Trump’s intentions aside, Sen. Ted Cruz says he’s next in line to secure the 2024 GOP presidential nomination

The Texas senator, who placed second in the 2016 Republican presidential primaries, says there’s historical precedent for the runner-up to get the nod the next time around

I like him and follow him on twitter.  Having said that, I don’t believe he has the horse power to make a serious run for President in 2024.  I think Ron DeSantis would be the front runner at this time (other than Trump).

It would be delicious to have an Hispanic run and get a lot of the Hispanic vote in 2024.

There was a time I thought he might be a good Republican.  I lost all respect for him when Trump insulted his wife's looks and made baseless accusations against his father and Ted allowed DJT to keep all his own teeth.  Hell, he even became one of his biggest sycophants after he was elected.

Ted has no spine and no principles.

Cruz's one-time college roommate jokes about smothering him in his sleep

By DANIEL STRAUSS

01/14/2016 11:24 PM EST

Sen. Ted Cruz's college roommate joked about getting emails saying he should have smothered the Texas senator in his sleep years ago.

Getting emails blaming me for not smothering Ted Cruz in his sleep in 1988. What kind of monster do you think I am? A really prescient one?

— Craig Mazin (@clmazin) January 15, 2016

Craig Mazin, Cruz's freshman roommate, has said that the Cruz he bunked with at Princeton was basically the same as he is today. Mazin, in an interview with the Daily Beast, said he got questions from female students asking him to keep the future senator from hanging out in the hallways.

“I would end up fielding the [girls’] complaints: 'Could you please keep your roommate out of our hallway?" Mazin said.

Certainly I would if he were the nominee. There would be no other choice.
