What is it about uga fans that makes them so much worse than bammers, corndogs, and Florida fans? Like what is it specifically about their environment relative to the others that makes them so bad? I can't figure it out.

A lot like pre-Saban Alabama fans. One of the all time top 10 programs program but hasn't done crap for years.

In reality UGA is pretty much an AU twin historically except for the fact while we were competing for a championship every decade since 1980 they do do it once every 35-40 years.

I'll never forget the way they acted in JHS in 1988. I was like 11. Went with my old man and some dork in the ugliest red and white slacks and his son who was about my age sat in front of us. They were absolutely obnoxious.  I felt bad for the kid since his old man was such a douche. Ive never seen a group of folks who were more arrogant for no reason than UGA fans

Yep. I was there in 88. All loudmouths that tried to pick fights with everyone. We had some idiots wanting to fight us, and we were just sitting in traffic while they walked by 😂 Cop had to move them along. Dawgs with rabies 😂

All their rivals have won a ‘ship much more recently than they have.  That’s the whole thing…entitlement + inability to meet expectations.

Murray will be on the CBS call Sat that's going to be fun:banghead:

The Georgia at Auburn game will be televised at 3:30 p.m. on CBS. Bulldog fans are happy to get a bS etter kickoff time this week. The rivalry game will be commentated by Aaron Murray, Noah Eagle, Jenny Dell, and Rick Neuheisel. The game will be the 125th meeting between the Georgia Bulldogs and Auburn Tigers

CBS doing back to back doubleheaders? I'm sure they'll stick us with his butt next week too. Him or Beth Mowins, who would I rather listen to?

They're more serious than the turds, there's no bandwagon there. A dawg fan is a dawg fan and his parents and grandparents were and it just is what it is. A "bammer"who will talk crap to you at work and ridicule your Auburn coffee mug, same guy can later be seen in the frozen section at costco during the game, carefully checking the prices on stuff before hauling it to the Hyundai. Different breed altogether. This says nothing about thuga's basis for being so arrogant. All the way back in my childhood they've been a great team but with forgiveness in their schedule each year until a true test comes along and they get their ass beat off. So: staunch and legit they are- but the entitlement they believe in doesn't exist. Same entitlement that caused Aaron Murray to stupidly stand there in the presence of Fairley as if nothing would happpen lols. You could see the snobbery and entiltement all over his face when fairly was crushing his stupid ass over and over. Piss on UGA.

Mark Richt era seemed to bring a handicap of suspended players to start every season (2012?, others?). Suspensions would end by Auburn week. Kirby is simply not the kind of guy who will ever have any discipline problems that impact player availability *wink wink nod nod*

Part of it is that their in-state "rival" is a doormat. No matter what they say, bammers always have their head on a swivel and their brand of bravado only exists because there is a valid counter argument. uga fans have no reason for that inkling of humility.

Part of it is that they're desperate for hardware that all the rest have won in the last 15 years.

Part of it is that Athens was, for a time, the coolest college town in the country. That music scene was no joke and a legacy remains. Also, it's equidistant from the N Ga mountains and Atlanta. It would still be one of the coolest college towns in the country if it wasn't full of leg humping butt sniffers.

Further to that, people in Georgia who don't live in the metros have this weird way of claiming superiority over other folks in the region because of those metros even though they hate those metros and are scared to be in them. Nothing better exemplifies this than the Braves moving to Cobb County, where they had already insisted that there be no viable public transit from Atlanta proper. Anyway, people in the state think the word "Georgia" on their tshirt means something that it doesn't.

But I'll tell ya what. The ones that I knew really turned ugly in 2010. I think they felt cheated that we won it all and they didn't. They didn't think that was fair. And they have endured a lot of heartbreak since then. They've basically missed out on 2 national titles on last minute losses. Plus there's the crossover with the Atlanta sports teams that haven't won anything- most notably the Falcons blowing the Super Bowl in historic fashion. (My only solace from that is knowing how horrible it was for so many Georgians.)

Those are my guesses.

When the SEC divided into divisions in 1993, they evenly divided what they called the "big six" (Auburn, bama, Uga, UT, LSU, and Florida) into the two divisions.  Five of the six won a natty during the BCS era.  Georgia still has a chip on its' shoulder over being the only one not to bring one home.  Face it, If Herschel hadn't gone to Georgia, they'd be South Carolina.

It would be all kinds of awesome if Murray was taken out on the sideline by an AU player. Oh the drama that would ensue 😂

thuga fans are the worst. Always have been. Worse than bammers in my opinion. Bammers are just stupid rednecks. Pups are vile and disgusting. Even when I was at AU in the late 80s, it was a different experience when the pups rolled into town. No respect for anyone and proud of it. I will cheer for bama over thuga every time, and I live in AL.

I remember once in Auburn after Georgia had beaten us and I was walking back after taking my date home.  The traffic was still bumper to bumper and a car full of Georgia fans was creeping along and a drunk leaning half way out of the open back window hollered at me "WE BEAT YALL'S ASS!

I hollered back AND YOU'RE SHOWING YOURS!

This older lady walking near me just absolutely cracked up.

I live in GA, hate the leg-humpers with a passion.  Arrogant fans, stupid looking "G" stickers everywhere, and always making excuses for the under-performing team.

For all of their recruiting dominance in one of the best recruiting states in the US they still cannot get it done.  Richt always had top 5 / top 10 classes and has no real hardware to show for it.  So, here we are again with ole frat-boy haircut K. Smart...dominating in recruiting again but still falling short.

ALL of their rivals have more recent Natty's (including GATech 🤣).  The longer the streak continues, the longer I'm happy.

Buck Belue said it best after Auburn won that game.  He went on air and said "Dawgs.... shut the hell up!  If Nick Fairley played at Georgia, you would be praising his killer instincts"

Before 2010, the rivalry was real, but it wasn't nearly as nasty.  Auburn and Georgia share a lot of history. So many Georgians have attended Auburn.  Coaches, professors, and families with both uga and AU fans and alum are commonplace. Erk Russell was an Auburn guy, Vince Dooley won a national championship playing QB at Auburn in 1957, Pat Dye was a Georgia boy thru and thru with a mean streak.  It was fitting when Tyler Fromm announced he was headed to Auburn while his brother was the starting QB at uga.

Perhaps? I just took it as him being amazed by the play.

Wouldn't it be excellent if CBS showed highlights of UGa O line's repeated & unpenalized chop blocking of Fairley because they couldnt block him, before the frustration Murray hit.

Aaron & mom would poop their britches.

I was cured from 4 years of Type 2 Diabetes and I was using metformin medication which resulted in Erectile Dysfunction but with the help of Doctor Nelson Herbal mixture I was cured completely. I came across one of his patients' testimony who was cured from Prostate Enlargement with Doctor Nelson Herbs on this platform. I contacted the herbal specialist and after much discussion I purchase the herbal product which he sent to me through dhl service which I received within 3 days at my address and with his instructions, I used the product for 21 days and my blood sugar was completely reduced from 8.5 to 4.5% and my erection was completely active. I recommend doctor Nelson to anyone with Herpes virus, Fibroid, Prostate Cancer and Enlargement, COPD, Hepatitis B, heart diseases and liver diseases, his mail: drnelsonsalim10@ gmail.com

It was pretty nasty in 1986….we turned the jet sprinklers on their stinking fans for running on field after they won.

Nick Fairley. I have never seen a group of fans so freaking butt hurt over a play from 11 years ago. Granted Nick had a couple of legitimate late hits but they still complain about the one at the end of the game.
