Still never seems like we have the type of holes other RBs run through on teams like Bama and UGA. Could be scheme and blocking from the OC/HC though.

That's because of the gap in talent between them and what is on the plains right now.

Just like RB, tFR and underclassmen can make a big impact at WR.

WR's are a little more reliant on good passing concepts though. RBs can kinda just run lol. A lot of successful Tank runs have little to do with the play call (since he's usually bouncing it to where he wants to take it anyways.

Absolutely dependent on the concepts. If the concepts are there, then their talent/abilities can make a huge impact. It's one position that you don't have to develop physically to play.

Great RB's whether at Auburn or Georgia or bama find the hole.  What you call Tank bouncing to where he wants to take it. That means he has adjusted to what his blocker has done. If a Play is designed to go just outside of tackle  and the DT does a stunt outside DE the OT will probably hold his block against DE pushing him out so there is a cutback lane from where DT left and hopes he has a good RB who takes advantage of it. You have good backs that hit the planned hole every time and great backs with great vision who go to where the hole is not where it was planned to go.  Great backs make the line look better. Tank has potential to be a great back.

I think next year brings more experience and depth at most every position. I'm excited for the offensive line and the run game. Just wish we had a qb that inspired confidence.

JBoy has hinted that Auburn will hit the Transfer/Juco market hard again this offseason for OTs.  I'm not sure of Bicknell's recruiting prowess at Ole Miss but its gotta be hard to develop relationships with these high school kids during Covid.  Auburn desperately needs OTs that can drop back into pass pro and need them here in the Spring if possible.

If Auburn hires the right head coach, then we'll see our recruiting start to pick up pretty quick.
