Auburn fell to 2-2 on the season, and the Tigers fell out of both the AP and the coaches polls altogether following a 30-22 setback against South Carolina.

Auburn slipped from 15th in the AP poll to among the unranked teams after Saturday’s loss, which, which was the program’s first loss to South Carolina since 1933 and the first as SEC opponents. Auburn was fifth among “others receiving votes” in this week’s AP poll.

It’s the first time since the end of the 2018 season that Auburn has been unranked in the AP poll. That season, Auburn fell out of the rankings on Oct. 14 and did not return to the top-25.

In the coaches poll, Auburn fell from 14th to unranked this season. The Tigers were the first team among others receiving votes in this week’s coaches poll.

Auburn will travel to Ole Miss next weekend looking for its first road win of the season. The Tigers have dropped both of their games away from Jordan-Hare Stadium, first losing to Georgia before this weekend’s debacle at South Carolina.
