Auburn will start the season as a betting favorite in its opener against Kentucky.

The eighth-ranked Tigers opened as a seven-point favorite against the 23rd-ranked Wildcats, according to VegasInsider.com, for the teams' meeting next weekend in Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Auburn will hosts Kentucky at 11 a.m. on Saturday, with the game broadcast on SEC Network. It will be the first meeting between the cross-division opponents since 2015, when Auburn won a Thursday night matchup in Lexington, Ky.

Auburn leads the all-time series, 26-6-1, winning each of the last two meetings in 2015 and 2010. The Tigers are 13-2-1 all-time at home against the Wildcats.
