Auburn seniors K.J. Britt and Big Kat Bryant are included on the watch list for the Nagurski Trophy, presented annually to the defensive player deemed to be the nation’s best.

Britt, a linebacker who was a first-team All-SEC selection last season, was earlier included on watch lists for the Butkus Award and Bednarik Award.

Last season, Britt was in on 69 tackles, including 10 for losses, and had 3.5 sacks. Bryant consistent piled up quarterback pressures last season and finished with 2.5 tackles for losses

Britt and Bryant are among 15 SEC players on the watch list.

The award, named for former University of Minnesota and Chicago Bears great Bronko Nagurski, is presented by the Charlotte Touchdown Club and the Football Writers Association.
