Gus Malzahn and Bruce Pearl have grown accustomed to making speaking engagement stops during the summer offseason months, and the coronavirus pandemic isn’t going to stop that from happening again this year -- though it is certainly altering it.

Auburn’s annual AMBUSH tour, which last year consisted of stops in Decatur, Dothan, Huntsville, Mobile and Columbus, Ga., is moving to a virtual setting this summer as a result of the COVID-19 crisis. The two Auburn coaches, as well as other to-be-announced special guests, will participate in a virtual AMBUSH event May 28 called “AMBUSH at Home.”

“Because our highest priority is the health and well-being of our alumni and friends, as well as your respective communities, Auburn Alumni Association is excited to bring AMBUSH to your home this year!” the Auburn Alumni Association posted on its website. “AMBUSH at Home allows us the opportunity to share this VIP experience with all alumni and friends. Coach Malzahn and Coach Pearl are eager to connect with the Auburn Family and talk about what everyone is missing lately, Auburn Athletics.”

The event, which will begin at 6 p.m., will be streamed live on the Auburn Alumni Association Facebook page. A full replay of AMBUSH at Home will also be posted on the Auburn Alumni Association website after the event concludes.
