For the first time this season, Auburn will be a home underdog.

Auburn opened as a three-point underdog for its upcoming game against rival Georgia, according to VegasInsider.com. The Bulldogs will travel to Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff. in the 124th installment of the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry. The game will be broadcast on CBS.

Auburn (7-2, 4-2 SEC) is coming off its second bye week of the season and is ranked 13th in the latest AP poll released Sunday. Georgia (8-1, 5-1) is coming off a 27-0 shutout of Missouri in Week 11 and is ranked fifth in the latest AP top 25.

The Tigers were 11th in the initial College Football Playoff Rankings released last Tuesday, while the Bulldogs checked in at No. 6. Those rankings will be updated again this week ahead of Saturday’s showdown on the Plains.

Georgia leads the all-time series with Auburn, 59-56-8, and has won five of the last six overall against the Tigers -- including last season’s edition of the rivalry game and a meeting in the 2017 SEC Championship Game. Auburn is 2-5 against Georgia under Gus Malzahn.
