Bo knows GameDay.

Auburn legend Bo Jackson will make an appearance on ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday as the show’s guest picker ahead of Week 1′s marquee matchup between No. 16 Auburn and No. 11 Oregon at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. College GameDay will broadcast live Saturday morning from Sundance Square in Fort Worth, Texas.

Jackson was a two-sport star at Auburn, where he played baseball and football. As a running back for the Tigers, he rushed for 4,303 yards and 43 touchdowns over his four-year career from 1982-85. He was a three-time first-team All-SEC selection and a two-time consensus All-American in 1983 and 1985. As a senior in 1985 he rushed for 1,786 yards and 17 touchdowns and won the Heisman Trophy.

The show will also include a feature essay on late Auburn broadcaster Rod Bramblett narrated by ESPN’s Wright Thompson. Bramblett served as the radio Voice of the Auburn Tigers from 2003 until his death in May. Bramblett and his wife, Paula, were killed in a car crash just off Auburn’s campus in late May.

Auburn announced earlier this week that it will wear special helmet decals dedicated to Bramblett to start the season.
