Is Trump Really Dangerous for the Country?

I thought this was a brilliant article, naturally so since it mirrors my opinion of Trump. 

While I sincerely believe Trump is a threat to our democracy, I never really anticipated him assuming power in the way of traditional authoritarians. Our government is too complicated and stuctured with check and balances to allow that.  However, this article describes a much more realistic threat of Trump turning out liberal democracy into a far more illiberal one, which might take decades to reverse.   Meanwhile, our problems will only get worse.

It's a relatively long read, but well worth the time.
