The following will be the top 25 defenses and there coordinators and we will cross them off as they are determined impossible.

Let's make a list of candidates and update it as we go:

Boston College - Don Brown

Alabama- Kirby Smart (UGA New head coach)

Wisconsin - Dave Aranda

Michigan - DJ Durkin (Maryland new head coach)

San Diego State - Rocky Long (Also HC and unlikely to take a demotion)

Florida - Geoff Collins (Not leaving)

Clemson - Brent Venables

Georgia - Jeremy Pruitt (will not be retained)

Missouri - Barry Odom (Just got promoted to HC)

Ohio State - Chris Ash (Rutgers new HC)

Northwestern - Mike Hankwitz

Appalachian State - Nate Woody

Louisville - Todd Grantham

Penn State - Bob Shoop

FSU - Charles Kelly

Central Michigan - Joe Tumpkin

Akron - Chuck Amato

Temple - Phil Snow

NC State - Dave Huxtable

Iowa - Phil Parker

Georgia Southern - Jack Curtis (If their head coach is the key to the success at defense maybe this would be promotion enough)

Utah State - Kevin Clune

Air Force - Steve Russ

Boise State - Marcel Yates

LSU - Kevin Steele

Good list.

Thanks

Will someone tell me, other than not having DC experience, why Thompson wouldn't be a good DC? Has worked under great defensive minds, wants the job, and we keep talking about consistency. I'm just curious on everyone's thoughts.

I'll take it.

Should offer him a good counter. Got to keep him. He's a bishop on the table.

If it can't be Ditka, go with Randy Shannon or Paul Rhodes. I'm holding on to my dream though and none of you will take it away!! Ha

I hate getting this ticked off, but what else can we do? Let's have a contest to see who can dis CWM the most without it getting past PG13?

I say Randy Shannon... He could assemble a great staff, too!

I like that also.

Shannon will not have time to assemble a great staff. Gus is one and done unless we win at least 9 regular season games next year including a win against uga or spuat.
