did anyone see what saban said on game day?

What I remember him saying is that if Auburn won the SEC Championship game Auburn deserved to play in the national championship game. He then made a case for a one loss SEC team as deserving to play in the championship game. He did not say the same about Mizzou which makes me think he was leaving the door open for Alabama if Auburn had lost and Ohio State lost. He was complimentary of our offensive line and stated that our defensive line gave their quarterback problems.

Point is that Saban knows how difficult it is to remain undefeated in the SEC. If being undefeated is a criteria for an SEC team going to play for the NC now or in the future, the chance is that Bama, Auburn, LSU, etc will NEVER be able to play for the NC again. How many of the NCs that Bama has won lately has been won with an undefeated Bama team? Heck, they did not even win their conference in 2011 and went. When Saban was at LSU, they had lost two games and went.

Those conferences that have only one or two good teams in their entire conference (like all of them except the SEC and PAC-12), are always going to be the ones going to play for the NC, if an undefeated season is the criteria. You have to take strength of schedule into consideration, period! It's great to be undefeated and that is a real accomplishment, but if you are playing FIU, Alcorn State type teams, it cannot and should not be compared to running the gauntlet that is the SEC or PAC-12.

I think you guys really believe he is into all that RollTide Bamma Yellow Hammer crap. He is a coach. He wants to win. It has always been about the game on the field for him and it frustrates him to see things he has planned out not going perfectly because they are being done by someone else.

The man is a FANTASTIC head coach. He can be a real Jackwad but he does the job he was hired for and the players seem to believe in the system and learn it. The results on the field prove it. He is honestly one of the best head coaches in the history of college football and he was poised 1 game away from making a 3 back to back National Championship runs. No other coach has been that close. If he does leave Alabama it will be for his family. There will still be a chance for Legacy at Texas since he is the only coach to win a NC at 2 schools and he can stretch that to 3 schools.

All the Anti Saban stuff on here is really just a form of respect because we loved Shula.

He seems to be an absolute failure as a human. Nobody in athletic dept. ALLOWED to SPEAK to him unless he speaks first.....really?
