"Coach Chizik had told me that Auburn would not drop me if I got hurt," Robinson said. "He was saying other coaches might look at me differently if I got hurt and could not play for the rest of my senior season. He said Auburn would show me that once I was a part of the family that I would still be at Auburn even if I got hurt."

Of all the pitches he heard, Robinson said the phrase that "Auburn wanted to develop him" as both an student-athlete and as a person really stood out.

You beat me to this Polo. I found this article and particular quote you linked interesting too. We knew that the 4 year schollies were a sign of committment from the school to the kids. This is proof that it makes a difference.

Yep. Really good stuff when you can negative recruit (<not serious) by simply telling the truth. Welcome big man, glad you're going to be here. WDE!!!!

Rivals has his 40 time at 4.81. That can't be right. A couple of offensive lineman ran that at the NFL Combine today.

Could not find it on scout, but it does say he had 11 kickoff returns for td, so that tells me that his 40 is better than 4.81.

Is there already a thread for Earnest Robinson? I couldn't find it if there was. Feel free to discuss or delete the thread if it is redundant.

He sounds like the kind of baller we need, if he can get his academics in order!
