Trovon Reed was back and fielding punts ... First team offensive line remains same: Greg Robinson, Alex Kozan, Reese Dismukes, Chad Slade, Patrick Miller ... Kick returns: Josh Holsey, Corey Grant, Ricardo Louis. Punt returns: Chris Davis, Quan Bray, Reed, Robenson Therezie ... Jonathan Mincy also was fielding punts again ... QBs rotating again, CAP was working on screens out of backfield ... Defense was working on fake punts. Chris Davis and Demetruce McNeal served as deep safeties/returners. @AUAuthority A lot of fake field goals/extra points today. Ryan White threw a couple times on kicks and Cody Parkey ran/threw as well.@bmarcello Tre Mason in uniform and pads, but not practicing.... No sign of Angelo Blackson ... Some extensive work today at Auburn's 8th practice on fake FGs/fake punts. Ryan White, Cody Parkey & Steven Clark learning to throw passes. ... Understandably, Auburn's not allowing video from those drills. Still, interesting to see the squad working on 'em in mid-April. @wareagleextra Robenson Therezie has moved from cornerback to the Star position. Javiere Mitchell, out with an injury, has moved back to linebacker.@PMARSHONAU Skill players working with first team: QBs Kiehl Frazier/Jonathan Wallace; RBs CAP/Corey Grant; WRs Reed/Denson/Bray/Louis; TEs Fulse/Uzomah... Gus Malzahn: "This was probably the first time that I wasn't pleased overall with attitude, effort, our approach to practice."...Malzahn said practice was "sluggish": "I don't think it had anything to do w/ the break. If anything we shoulda been a little more fresher....Malzahn said move of Robenson Therezie to the Star position was made because he wants to get his athletes on the field....Malzahn said three JuCo transfers (CAP, Danzey, Bradley) are getting more comfortable every day....Malzahn on RB Cameron Artis-Payne: "He's a hard worker, and he's a tough guy."...Malzahn on Tre Mason injury: "Nothing serious, put it that way. At the same time, a little banged up. There's no doubt."...Malzahn said experienced players have processed info, played faster in live periods. H-back Jay Prosch on spring progress: "I feel like we're making our way, but definitely it's always tough learning a new system."... Prosch said footwork/playing with different leverage are big changes at H-back compared to FB, but he's enjoyed the position change. ... Prosch on standout guys: "I know that Justin Garrett is having a great spring. I think he's really stepped up." ... Others Prosch mentioned include Jaylon Denson, Sammie Coates, Dee Ford, Reese Dismukes, Ricky Parks and both QBs. ... Melvin Ray on low numbers at WR: "It's an opportunity that each guy at my position has taken advantage of." ... Ray is getting back into shape after playing baseball:: "I feel a whole lot better now than even I did playing football back in my HS days." ... Ray said he missed football from "day one" when he started down baseball path. ... Ray lining up around field: "I think he's doing that b/c we're going to need guys to play in multiple spots. It's only an advantage for us." ... Ray said Dodgers paying his way right now, could change: "I'm working my way to having a good spring in coach Malzahn's eyes." ...
