Robenson Therezie and Chris Davis seeing much more punt return work. @wareagleextra CB coach Melvin Smith, here on Day 5 of spring practices, shouts in morning session: "It's time to start cleaning ourselves up!"... "It's hard to say" if any players are separating themselves from the pack through five practices, Gus Malzahn says.... Malzahn on QBs: "Half the battle is getting comfortable with (lining up, being exact) before you can actually react and play football." ... Malzahn says first major scrimmage of spring is Saturday. @bmarcello Malzahn: We've got most of our (offensive) stuff in now. Says team can only get better... Malzahn: After five practices, there should be improvement ... Malzahn: Sometimes when you're learning to play together, it's hard to pick individuals out (as far as separating themselves) until see film ... Malzahn says "there's a lot to playing quarterback" in this system. Half the battle, he says, is getting comfortable with all that first ... Malzahn says the point is to strain them physically see who's who ... Malzahn said they'll fully scrimmage on Saturday and "just let them play" ... as coaches "we'll get a chance to sit back and evaluate" ... I think that was pre- spring practice workout goals thing, now that practice has started that stuff is all done. Dismukes: "I'm going to be a leader of the offense as much as I can be." ... Dismukes wants to see the quarterbacks take charge of the offense.
