I'm thrilled with the coaches' comments on Marcus Davis ("He's what we thought" - CRL) and want to take this opportunity to admit I was totally off base on his recruiting. He's only 5'9" and 176 lbs, so I thought he was too small. (Yes, I saw 5'6" Lionel James play at Auburn and make a great career in the NFL, so there's more evidence of my being a slow learner.) I thought we were recruiting Marcus to have a better shot at getting Greg Bryant, and when we didn't get Bryant I wondered what we would do with Davis. Now we have Davis performing well in an area of need, and, while I would still love to have Bryant, our rb depth is pretty good. War Eagle, Marcus! Is ketchup good on crow?
