not sure on the exact rules, Bryan Matthews seems to think otherwise, but that does not make him right on this situation, the NCAA rule book is not always the easiest to interpret. I am sure Gus will use Cam to help as much as Cam is willing and is within the compliance of the NCAA.

He is a student enrolled at the university so I say we should make him a Plainsman for the quarter and give him an orange jacket and let him escort recruits around.

Brilliant

I can't confirm this yet but I think the fact Cam has donated to AU trumps him being able to recruit as a student because Doners can not recruit.

How much you want to bet that Cam is doing his Winter NFL workouts on OV weekends ? Purely by coincidence of course.

Or sitting with recruits at the Kentucky and Ole Miss basketball games the next 2 weeks.

Another conincidence or could the recruits be stalking Cam ?

If he is a student, can he also be considered a booster? What are the rules about that? Anyone?

According to Bill Cameron on Sportscall, as long as Cam Newton is a student and not a paid employee of the university he can spend all the time he wants to spend with any recruit or group of recruits. His NCAA status is the same as some random guy walking to class. If Cam wants to invite a prospect over to his place to discuss football, it's all good.

I would prefer to get an NCAA or SEC rep POV on that. I think him donating money to Auburn trumps that. Doners can't recruit.

Can they provide "courtesy cars", say Dodge Charges to players? Can they provide players with suits and clothing? Can they trade players suits and clothing in return for memorabilia (footballs, jerseys, autograph pictures, etc.)?

I posted information from a recognized, legitimate, knowledgeable source. You responded with "I think". Come back with a source for your opinion. Until then, my source trumps your "I think".

Who is Bill Cameron? And what makes him a "recognized, legitimate, knowledgeable source"?

On his twitter account he has the link to his Hudl page but here it is. 247, Scout and Rivals all have profile pages on him too.

E - Do you think we would take his commitment if he decided he wanted to go to Auburn this weekend?
