The quote for the day:

Keeping eye contact with someone for more than 6 seconds without blinking usually shows a desire for either sex or murder.

So, you're saying I can't do both? :-X:laugh:

I'm going to try my best not to post about this very much more BUT.

A tweet from Taliaferro, a PSU player injured and has a steel support in his neck from the injury.

"The NCAA says those games never happened, well I got the steel in my neck to prove it did"

I'm truly sorry for his injury, it is a hazard of the sport, but you never want to see anyone be injured.

When he went down, the stadium went quiet. The players took a knee and went silent, as well. The training staff rushed to his aid as they should have. He was loaded onto a cart with medical aid and cheered as he left the field.

When a child was being raped in the showers at PSU, a coach walks by, saw it and left in complete and total silence.

I am sorry for the uninvolved student athletes, they however can transfer and leave it all behind.

That raped child will never leave it behind.

Screw Penn state and the idiots who support them, long may they suffer. It can never match the suffering they have inflicted, covered up and allowed to be inflicted.

Wow, just wow.  What a comparison.  You are right, there is no "leaving it behind" for those babies who were abused.  I just can't help but feel that the ones who were involved are just getting a slap on the wrist. Tie a stone around their necks and cast them into the sea.

To easy.  Just convict them and toss them into the general population once they get to prison.

Well, the NCAA isn't a law enforcement agency.

The FCC isn't a law enforcement agency either, but try broadcasting the F word at 7pm est time and see if you aren't fined.

The FDA isn't a law enforcement agency either, they recently levied a 6 BILLION dollar fine against a drug company.

The Securities and Exchange Commission(they report to the FBI,CIA depending on crimes) isn't a law enforcement agency either, but many a Wall Street firm has felt their wrath since the mortgage and trading frauds were found.

If you are going to be a member of certain business communities or activities athletic or otherwise you will need to subject yourself to the rules of the governing organizations of those entities and without it, there would be chaos, even moreso than we already have.

Penn State belongs to many university accrediting organizations. Do not be surprised when some of those organizations put PSU on academic probation because of the lack of institutional oversight. How could the case be argued against that? It couldn't. Admin's were involved in those decisions.

And that essentially sums it all up.  They did only what they could.  They had to set a precedent with this case.  It may not be fair, but as you have already pointed out, those children weren't treated with fairness, but with cruelty and an unwillingness to stop the abuse.  Penn State will recover, eventually; but the vicitms will always carry this. Very sad.

Putting stuff in yellow to show sarcasm or a joke, is in itself, a joke.

Thank you, Barney.

Yellow = Sarcasm

I did that to make fun of those that don't get it. Which, to me,  makes it even more funny

Is the TSA a law enforcement agency?  I'm at the airport and got through security with no issues.  Just wondering.  I'm flying to St. Louis for a few days.  Going to the Cards v Dodgers game tomorrow night.  Look for me on TV.  I'll be the one in the orange Auburn shirt.  ;D
