Just saw an ad for winning tickets to "the greatest rivalry in college football"...the AT&T Red River Rivalry...

You know, I can deal with them calling it the greatest rivalry in college football (even if Texas fans don't even think it's the biggest rivalry on their schedule) in spite of knowing how absurd the statement is, but they're sponsoring it now? REALLY?

Finanacial realities are that Texas Universities have to make money any way they can.  Lot's of spending cuts in TX for higher education are forcing them to think outside the box.

Several years ago BellSouth sponsored a golf tournament as the bellsouth Atlanta classic.  The sports media refused to give bellsouth the free plug and called it the Atlanta classic.  Bellsouth had to rename the thing the bellsouth classic to get them to mention their name.
