They go by your IP address and your provider. If they see your IP is in AL or TN, they block it.

I think that is what the software I downloaded is suppose to do. It's suppose to give an ip address from someone where outside of the blackout area. I still can't get it to work though.

I cant get it to work because it thinks im on time warner when i use that software but i have charter and espn3 access in reality
