I didn't say it didn't matter, thats no where in my post.

So he asked for massive salary and staff budget and we said No. Right?

I agree. BN got a lot of money for his staff and doesn't seem to be doing well. Already and open letter to fans.

If that's how it happened, he won, we lost.

No he did not we turned him down...for the last time we never offered him

    Never said we offered.

Outside of iNsIdEr InFo, ever report on Napier, both legit and sketchy fan site says Napier was the one to say no.

Since I don't know either way, I'll just stick to it being unknown.

If Freeze and Kiffin will both take the coaching job at Ole Miss, they both would’ve taken it at Auburn. If Stoops will take the football coaching job at Kentucky he would’ve taken it at Auburn. If not all three, two of those three would’ve taken the job, if offered. Regardless of what allegedly goes on behind the scenes at Auburn, (which the bammer media exploits and exaggerates) Bruce Pearl gets tremendous support, so does Butch Thompson etc. etc. etc. A home run hire coach stands a much better chance at Auburn than Ole Miss or Kentucky.

Those places seem much more willing to let a guy do his thing than Auburn. Well that and the holier than thou requirement for football coaches which automatically disqualifies the likes of kiffen/freeze/etc for many.

I don’t think Hardin set us back 5 years just bc all of the options we were considering sounded to me like they would’ve set us back 5 years. Hell, hiring Bill Clark would’ve set us back a coach RIGHT NOW

I don’t love the Harsin experience, but I don’t remember any name I loved during the search except Cristobal

I mean, Napier straight turned us down.

And that's even before considering he is involving kids who are subordinate to him as a coach.  The coercion may not be direct but it's there.

It is 100% there as the dissent calls out the parents who's children specifically said they participated to not be separated from the rest team

Also Lane is a clown whose best season as a head coach was this season. Sure he schemed his team to 10 wins, but let him beat Bama first before we bring him in to make Auburn a nationally televised embarrassment week in/week out..

Lane is a top 5 offensive mind and killing it at ole miss. He recruits great, brings evergy and excitement. Fans love him. Made a 3 time 3-9 team into conference champs 2/3 years in FAU then made the year 2 jump he needed at ole miss.

Gtfo with this beat Saban as a prereq to coach here.

Lane successfully completed the Nick Saban coaches rehabilitation program and has killed it ever sense.

  6. People mostly ignore this because of RvW, but it's crazy how important and stressed lemon was.

Personally think Kennedy was ruled the wrong way as a state actor engaging in his job leading openly religious activity in a time, manner, location with restricted access yet at an evemt strictly for viewing and entertainment is in fact a state promotion if religion.

Leach is a scheme coach, not a program coach. He will fail in the SEC and most Power 5 jobs. He will excel in most Group of 5 jobs.

He has a 60% win rate while his last 2 stops coaching were at 2 perennial bottom dwellers. Turning both into bowl contenders with a few ranked seasons. Multiple coach if the years.

Leach has proven he is a hell of a coach at the P5 level and doing so with inferior talent.

Mike Leach is a great coach, generally an extremely intelligent but very weird dude.  You think Harsin is hated at AU, Leach would have been lambasted here.

NGL, I love ML, his offensive scheme is dang near unstoppable if he has the right QB

Leach is my hero. Super smart, a little crazy law school grad who became a badass coach who has taught gorilla warfare classes? His life is my dream.

Leach would have better recruited, better coached, and been much much less likely to be ****** over by a coup/rumors.

A lot would be pissy screaming RuN tHe BaLl, but au football would be in such a better place.

Gus just snagged another 5 star running back out of the portal and a 5 million cash infusion at ucf in the past 48 hours, fanbase feelings aside, he himself wouldn't even entertain the idea of coming back to the gauntlet of sec west football --

I disliked what Gus become at Auburn. But i love the Gus he is being now.

I actually think we win 7-8 the year, only because of the defense, and Tank/Hunter. But the way this guy is failing to bring in talent, we are spiraling to a point where we will be lucky to beat Miss St in the future.

MSST has a better coach than we do...

How many games were you expecting him to win over the spring/summer?

Win in recruiting, he  the bed this cycle, win in transfers, he the bed this cycle, build foundations for this coming recruiting cycle, indicators are showing another failure(for reference au-24 above), win in the media, win the hearts of fans, we can go on and on, but the lose column is much much longer than the win.

You asked me for an age, I provided an age for you to start and go down from there

You did not provide an age for the possible victim at hand, nor do we have the context of whether this is an actual predatory situation. I'm not going to play whataboutism. The only thing to be said is sexting between peers should not be punished by the state.

Would you be ok if he called his "peers" someone under 14? Since you seem adamant about reducing the fact that he was charged with child pornography.

My reply was specifically directed to someone claiming peer to peer should be punished.

Moving it beyond that scope is pointless and outside the bounds of my reply.

Lock him up. Odds are the child porn is someone a couple years younger than him, but still a crime, and he seems to just be a self-destructive individual who needs loads of discipline and loads of help to get straightened out. I think prison would take care of both of those.

    This is a s*** take.

Pics sent from and to peers shouldn't be criminalized.

What happened to the Brambletts sucks but if this is peer to peer pics, using their death to support prosecution is naught but retribution.

I’m sure I’m not as intelligent as you are, I just see the NIL process at this point is actually taking the place of team payment (in your example Green Bay/Kansas City) rather than the State Farms.

Your analogy doesn't work because the people paying aren't the ones reaping the benefits. Green Bay and KC pay players because they get more than they spend.

If the next $1mil star at Auburn was playing for the Yella Wood Cowpokes you'd have an argument to make.

I don't understand why you aren't making the connection.

Agreed. Definitely a last minute circling of the wagons hire, and I say that as someone who thinks he's likely a solid offensive mind. Better than Dilly and Chad. Not sure if he's better than Chip or Bobo. I will say that I think it's funny that of all coaches, Eric Kiesau, who gets squat on the most for his lack of recruiting, is the guy that pulled Rogers and Desean Jackson at Cal Berkley, of all schools, lol. Pretty ironic

A lot of people are down on dilly, bit i think he is underrated. A hell of a recruit and being hired at Oregon by Lanning is really his 1st big test away from Norvell.

Even if Kiesau is a slight edge in coaching/coordinator, I'll take recruit wiz Dilly over him.

The point is that Kiesau found Rodgers when nobody else did. Which speaks to his eye for QB talent. The implication is he sees similarities between Rodgers and Calzada. When Kiesau was talking with Harsin he mentioned how hard Rodgers worked on his game which is why with the arm talent and the work ethic he became really good. Apparently similar arm talent time will tell if Calzada has the same work ethic and will improve like Rogers did.

If Kiesau was such a stud QB guy, finder of talent, etc, his history would be a lot better than Rodgers 15 years ago.

I'm done with this coach found a good player once a decade ago being used as a selling point. It hides the fact that since that singular player, the coach hasn't done anything worthwhile.

Let's stop pretending Kiesau is anything other than an o s*** last second hire to save face.
