AU does have alignment. Everyone is aligned behind Yellow Fella. As an AU fan u should know how this works. Don't know why some, mods on this board included) thought it would be different this time.

Could be they maybe uncomfortable with us hiring Freeze.

So let me make sure I understand your point. It's not necessarily what Freeze has done in the past that concerns you? It's the bad PR hit that AU would receive that concerns you?

Hypothetical for the never Freezers.. Let's assume Saban was able to hire Freeze as reported he wanted to a few years ago. Say Freeze lit it up at Bama for a couple yrs as Sark and Kiffin did. Then AU poached him from Bama. How would your opinions of Freeze be assuming that was the case?

Well, if we talking NCAA violations. In the eyes of the NCAA, Bruce situation was worse. He lied and got 3 yrs show clause. In Freeze case with the NCAA. He wasn't directly implicated. He was found guilty cause assistants were doing it under his watch. Hence, his show clause was only 1 yr compared to Bruce's 3. As far as calls to escort services, his wife and family have forgiven him. It happened 5 plus yrs ago, so that's good enuf for me. But it's fair game to critique his past. IMO, everyone deserves a 2nd chance. Some will agree, some won't.

And remember, when we hired Bruce. He was still under a show clause for a few months. Danny Hugh is clear from the Ncaa and has been for several years.

If it's Freeze as it appears. He knows this is his last shot at the big time. Never underestimate a man who has something to prove with a chip on his shoulder.

It's all good, my man.... Been following AU a long time. All the talk about everything at AU being aligned is cool and all, but it always comes down to whoever the " BIG CHIEF" at the time (think ol Yella Feller) wants. His favorite was Danny Hugh... That's the way its been at AU for 40 yrs.

I agree with all u said. Freeze has something to prove and IMO would do great here. And possibly convince Matt Luke to come out of retirement

Seeing how all this has went down, lm gonna circle back around and go with Danny Hugh. I'm just not convinced that Kiffen really wants to be at AU or if he just wants to chase a championship.

I'm really leaning to Danny Hugh now. He wants to be at AU, knows the area and has a working relationship with high school coaches.

So, the hire won't be announced until sometime after the Iron Bowl.
